If one were to encounter another life form, it would be much like discovering the Pilgrims.
We would meet these other life forms, and they would teach us their culture and their ways of living, as we do the same. We would learn a lot of useful things from them, and they would learn useful things from us. Together we would make a huge dinner and celebrate our new knowledge together, and lastly, we would have two Thanksgivings instead of one.

But wait, what about their religion?

They'd be like us. They would firmly, to every extent, believe they are right, just like you do.


They'd be the ones wanting to convert US.

And what if there were millions of civilizations?

I don't believe im right. Two Thanksgivings? That's ludicrous. (That was my vocab word this week .

Well why would they do that? Couldn't we just share eachothers ideas and what not.
And who says aliens want to convert the US? Maybe they know about us.. but we don't know about them, and they enjoy our way of living.. and they want to be like us.


And it's just more people to teach.

But this topic is really pissing me off. I can't come to an answer. I don't want to be doubtful about my beliefs in God. Really, really, hell no.


But when you think about it, who on this Earth is right? We all from all religions say we connect spiritually with our God, but what if your God is Buddha, and mine's Jesus? You believe firmly in Buddha, when I think he doesn't exist.

Well personally I think that all religions have something to give us, the problem is people latch on to the wrong parts. Does god really have to be human like? Could god just be a large collections of souls we all eventually return to? We have no clue of the metaphysics behind who we are, or why we are here. I don't know why people feel like they need to argue over what we cannot possibly show in any way. We all have personal beliefs. We have all had experiences that enforce them.

Sometimes it is merely an illusion, sometimes it probably isn't. If it makes someone a better person though should it matter? I don't think so, just don't go around discounting some peoples beliefs and experiences when you hold beliefs and experiences that are just as strange to them.
