Is Marshal a good villager?

Yes he is my favorite fluffy baby! He looks so cute in all kinds of outfits and sings a lot it's so adorable! There's not a lot of smug villagers that I'm a fan of and marshal is my fave even over other personality types that I prefer. He might grow on you how Genji did he became one of my faves too it just depends and is up to u in the end after all it is u who is playing the game c:

FYI most gay people probably wouldn’t like to be referred to as a “homo.” I would definitely have a problem with someone if they said that to me in person. Just say gay, it’s not a bad word (even if in this context you’d be using it to blatantly stereotype virtual animals on the basis of appearance).

But I agree, all villagers have at least one person out there who likes them. People get too hung up on having others validate their choices.

I think Marshal is adorable and I understand his popularity. Also, his house is very well decorated and fits in with an outdoor cafe theme. Ultimately, all smugs have the same dialogue so just swap him out later on if you connect with another smug more!

To me he is. Cute little marshmallow. He may look mean on the outside but is very sweet. He reminds me of Mandy from The grim adventures of Billy and Mandy, well looks wise. He doesn’t act like Mandy though. Wouldn’t mind if he did...

As good as any other, I would say. Some people dislike him because he’s “overrated” (which to an extent, he is), but that shouldn’t heavily affect whether you think he’s better or worse relative to another villager in the game.

Popularity aside, I find Marshal to be a very enjoyable villager. He has been a great addition to my island. He is very entertaining in my opinion.

Loved him in New leaf and still love him now! I've never liked villagers because of popularity, if anything it makes them disappointing when the hype is so high but Marshal is ridiculously adorable. He got his nickname marshmallow for a reason... he looks like a grumpy lil marshmallow with big ego and an incredibly sweet personality. Ketchup is cute but I also let her go recently. I hope you enjoy having him!

i had him for a bit and he’s great! i’m not super fond of the smugs but he’s one of the ones that i can tolerate - he’s adorable and his house isn’t half bad, either! he’s fun to have around

Yes he's adorable. I never had him in New Leaf bc I preferred Julian but I ended up with him while island hopping and now I love him.

I think he's slightly overrated. I had him in my island a few times and tried so hard to like him but I found him so boring and uninteresting. He's cute, but not worth the crazy amounts people will offer for him.

I enjoy Marshal alot. Something about my smug villager being a tiny squirrel entertains me.

Also, the fact that his tail looks like coffee when you put too much milk in it is neat, considering his house implies he's a coffee addict.

Yep, he's a really great villager and if I had to choose a good smug to have on my island, it would be him. He's currently on my mom's island and to our surprise, he actually likes a lot of girl clothes, so it's kinda cute. Of course though, the only reason he has a lot of girl clothes is because a lot of guides says that's his personal preference. He's cute in them though.

I used to have him in new leaf, he moved in randomly. I gave him a giant shell music box and he kept it for the longest time until I had reset my town. I keep seeing him everywhere and I miss him so much. Lmao I was actually close to having him until Tiffany took up the plot before he could. That was a very sad day. He really is adorable at least to a lot of us in the community. Overrated but I think he deserves the popularity.

I love Marshal. I initially was a little indifferent to him back in NL since I didn’t like smugs or so I thought since I had Keaton and didn’t like him. When I heard that he looked like a cranky more than a smug, that peaked my interest since I like some villagers with appearances that don’t match their personality, so I gave him a chance and have not only loved him since, but now I like smugs .

I think he's ok. Lots of people seem to love him though I think he's kind of boring.

He's fine. He's not bonebreakingly ugly or anything. He's no Julian, but then, there are no smugs like my astrologer unicorn babe, so...

I had him for a while in NL so that I could make someone's day by giving him away. Nice enough, not memorable though.

He's a leucistic squirrel which in general I love and has a special meaning for me. But, I think his tiny-ness (and all the squirrels for that matter) are pretty adorable...especially in seeing their eyes just peering over the fencing as you're running by doing dailies.
He's one of the most popular and was pretty much the "Raymond" of New Leaf, but I think like Ankha...he truly does have a unique design/condition awareness (leucism) so I get why the hype I suppose.

Marshal was better in New Leaf. Now it's all about Raymond.

I absolutely adore Marshal, always have so much fun talking and interacting with him! I think he's definitely worth the hype.
