Is Marshal a good villager?

I'm in the process of TTing to open a plot, and Marshal visits the campsite. I decide to invite him because I need the reaction you can get from smug villagers once you're best friends. I kind of invited him in a hurry (He kicked out Ketchup, one of my 5 originals )

That's OK! She had a good run on my island and we became really close friends It was just kinda sad to see her leave

It depends on what you mean by good. If by good you mean popular enough that you can sell him for NMTs? Probably. He is fairly popular still from what I see.

Good as in you will like him compared to other smugs? That one depends on your personal tastes.

Villagers in NH are pretty much just accesories n_nU if you like him, then that's enough! He's my favorite smug villager and love his house too

I love him and have done since New Leaf, I love his sassy/grumpy persona and one of my favourite smugs.

No one can tell you if you'll like him or not. Besides, all smugs (within subtype A anyway) have the exact same dialog, so the only thing that separates them is their design. I personally have never liked Marshal, but he's still the most popular villager in the game so he obviously has his fans. If you don't end up liking him, you can always sell him after obtaining the showmanship reaction. He's the most valuable villager that has an amiibo card.

I had him in NL for a while, and have found him 2 or 3 times now in NH. Honestly having him in my town again made me like him less tbh.

Yeah,he's a good smug villager.I had him in New Leaf for a long time and I'm glad that he didn't change much for New Horizons.He looks good in fancy clothes too.

Ah, I see I've been summoned. Marshal, although he's been my absolute favorite for the 7 years I've played Animal Crossing, is definitely a matter of personal preference. Do I think he's the cutest, sweetest, and most huggable baby ever? Yes. I'm sure there are people who would use these same adjectives for a wide variety of other villagers, though.

He was the Raymond of New Leaf. So if you're asking about popularity, then I'm not sure how popular he still is. I have him on my island. I've come to like him since I wasn't a fan of him during the lifespan of New Leaf.

Me and my sister have him on our island. We both like him. There are not good or bad villagers. If you like his design keep him and if you not then kick him out. All smugs basically act the same so there is no difference. I do know some people just don't like certain personality dialogue. The Mashral we have works out like a lot. Him and Walt are just always pumping iron together lol.
