If you could play as a villager, who would you pick?

Back when New Leaf came out, I remember getting the game, looking at the cover art and thinking, "Oh, I'm definitely going to play as that pink llama!" I had never played an Animal Crossing game before NL, or even knew anything about the series. I was a little disappointed to learn that I couldn't play as an animal at all in this animal-themed game.

If you could play as any villager, or even any NPC in the entire series, who would you pick? I think I would pick Lolly or Merengue, because they are very cute! Seeing as how you can dress up the villagers on Harvey's Island, I feel like it would be possible for Nintendo to add something like villager skins to the game.. I wonder if they ever will

It’s hard for me to even imagine playing as an animal tbh. I’d probably pick Pate because she’s cute with squiggly eyebrows. Also she’s short like me irl.

I would play as either Fuschia or Chief! Fuschia is probably the most like me (hot pink hair and piercings, uchi lmao) but Chief is my favourite ever!! Its a tough choice! I would love to play as a villager or a different species!

As for villagers, most likely Klaus, or some octopus, but that is quite the hard question.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could get some in-game gadget that allows you to switch brains with a villager temporarily. So you could walk around as that villager for a short time, interact with other villagers, redecorate the villager's house and if you're feeling generous even earn them some bells by selling fish and whatnot. Then give them their body back.

The downside is if that villager's brain is in your body, then you switch back you'll find yourself wearing the most horrific, mismatched costume, and a sea bass where your antique wardrobe used to be.

Probably Marina, though she isn't even my favorite villager. I just think it would match my current interests.

I would be a small, normal villager.. maybe Poppy, Sally or Fauna. In real life, I am rather quiet, small, a book worm and my looks most of the time do not extremely stand out (I get called "cute" quite often.. which fits with these villagers). No surprise I want them all on my island at some point (currently very much enjoying the presence of Fauna)
