How many of your villagers are permanent?

I used to think all of them were permanent then I ended up moving 3 of my favorites, now idk if my current ones are permanent either

So far I have 4: Rolf, Sterling, Rudy and Punchy. I am continuously cycling villagers to see who I'd love to permanently keep. I know that Leonardo will be my 5th.

No-one is unevictable in my eyes, I might have villagers I tell to stay for now as I still like having them around, but I could see myself having a completely different set of 10 in the future.

All of them.. I get way too attached. I hope they eventually let us have more so I can meet some new ones...lol

5 of my villagers are permanent: kid cat, zucker, beau, audie and margie! it might change to 6 if i decide to keep tammy but i likely won’t ;u;

So far none of them are permanent. I like to play Animal Crossing with my town (in this case island) being an evolving space, and as such I like to let my villagers move out from time-to-time, so that way it seems more realistic. People (in this case animals) come and people/animals go. To me that is just part of life, even in Animal Crossing.

At this point, 5 of them are permanent.
I have plans for the other 5 spots. I just need my villagers to ask to move out so I can island hop again.
I tried to wait to get some of their photos before I let them move out.

So far, Dobie and Ursala are the ones I plan on keeping around. I may let them move after I get their pic, BUT then I'd eventually just bring up back with their Amiibo cards. I also may do the same with Plucky, she's such a cute little chicken ☺

And, then there's Merry. Until/unless I can get Tangy (or maybe Rosie?) I plan on keeping Merry indefinitely. She was one of my first and has a "rustic" home because of it, but I actually prefer the rustic home to her normal home- it has a lot more pink, which just suits her, IMO.
I actually just spent 150k getting her house placement JUST right. She has a pretty big yard with a pool, and a pond with a bridge leading up to her door. She's... kind of spoiled
(the plot is also easy to convert to suit Tangy's hypothetical home )

I thought I had all my permanent villagers... but now I'm thinking of cycling them with the seasons. The only one or two I would keep year round is Fauna and maybe Coco... Zucker or Twiggy maybe, as I like their starter homes more than the real ones, but I'm not sure.

There's just so many villagers I like, and not being able to have multiple towns is kind of disappointing. So I decided having villagers specific to the season may work. Although imagining a canary walking in the snow all bundled up is pretty cute.

Right now, 2, Rudy and Julia. I'm trying not to have dreamies the time, but I had to find Rudy and I wanted to keep Julia.

I currently have Bluebear, Audie, Beau, June, Lobo, Vivian, Bruce, Fuschia, Pashmina and Rodeo.
Of these, Bluebear, Audie, Fuschia and Beau are dreamies. That would make 4/10. However, Pashmina is really growing on me and I could make her my 10th villager, as I only have five definite other dreamies - Bam (whos currently in my second town waiting to be moved over), Freya, Fang, Raymond and Maple.

Hmmm 6 or 7 are permanent. Leaning towards 7. I can’t let erik go D:

I did get some amiibos for dreamies so I’d be ok letting them in and out to keep things fresh but they’re not yet in my town and aren’t a part of the current 7 ;-;

5/10 are permanent though since three of them have stuff in their houses I can’t remove, I’m thinking of letting them leave and then reinvite them via amiibo card. I’m debating about keeping Lily (and i don’t like her starter house and the ant that i can’t get her to get rid of). Lily was going to be only a temporary resident when I invited her from a mystery island, but she ended up growing on me. The reason I’m debating about keeping her is because I also want Lolly and since having three peppy villagers has proven to be a bit too much for me, I don’t think I want three normal villagers as well.

My permanent residents are: Punchy, Kiki, Merry, Roscoe, Rudy.

My other residents are: Fuchsia, Sprinkles, Bluebear, & Tex.

I like to think that my current villagers are all permanent for me, but I’m a bit unsure.
Phoebe is for sure staying forever, she’s the only sisterly bird that I really like, so she stays.
Egbert and Mallary are two of my most nostalgic animals (with Egbert being my all time fave) and I don’t have the heart to let them go, especially since the options for other chickens and ducks are slim
Julia I’ve grown to love since getting her in NH
Piper as well, especially since I don’t really want any other peppy birds
I guess Buzz could be replaced by Apollo, but I honestly love Buzz as he looks like a Golden Eagle and he does the cranky personality better than Apollo imo
Aurora just moved in, so I need to get a feel for her
Sparro and Tex as well are villagers I’ve grown to love since getting them in NH
So, in short, all of them unless I end up changing my mind on Aurora.
