I'm a girl and I don't shave mine, I do trim it every once in a while to maintain it, but it doesn't bother me, or my boyfriend, or most of my family, only my mom.
im not a guy, but from what i know--nobody gives a *** if a guy has hair anywhere other than his head. arm pit hair is not a turn off to most people considering everyone is use to seeing hairy guys by this point but its your choice whether or not to trim it or something..i know its the other way around for girls though
I'm a guy, but personally I've only shaved it off a couple times in my life. One time was for an anime convention and it actually felt pretty nice. I'm too lazy to keep with it though and it doesn't make too much of a difference to motivate me enough to keep shaving it.
Lol why is it nasty if it's naturally growing hair on the human body? I could understand if it was growing out of your forehead maybe, but it's a place where (nearly) everyone grows hair, why is that so weird? Beauty standards...
That being said, I'm a chick, and I don't shave mine everyday, only on 'shave days'. I know some people who razor it off every time it pokes through their skin, but honestly if I'm not wearing a tank top no one's going to see it anyways, so I don't waste time with it until I take a shower.
The thing about armpit hair is that it helps provide anti-adhesion so the skin there doesn't burn from constant friction with other skin cells. Maintenance is okay, but shaving the hair completely off is so bad an idea I can't believe it's not written on the moon above.
If you end up enjoying your body without it, go for it! Other than that, I'd say no.
Like some others said, it's only naturally there and for some people, removing it can cause razor burn, itchiness, bumps, redness, etc. that honestly isn't worth it anyway. That would look less appealing than having the hair there to begin with.
I am such a freak on this, you don't even know. Whenever I just find out there's a SINGLE hair in my armpits, I drop everything what I'm doing and run to the shower to GET IT OFF
I just really don't like having hair anywhere on my body apart from my head. And I'm one of those lucky people that don't get razor burn! Or bumps, or redness, etc.
I'm lucky like that :^)
As a guy I chose to shave it, but not completely smooth or anything. I just make it unnoticable. I feel cleaner when I do, so I have laways done that. The time of year doesn`t play a role and I must honestly say I find hair there very unattractive, whether it be on guy or girl.
I would never wax it or anything though, thats to much. I agree its better to leave it a bit more protected, like Maria said.
