Did You Use Gyroids As Decorations?

alright!!! so!! how many of you guys used gyroids in your homes
as a decoration? and if so, which ones? i loved those funky things!
i thought they were great with their aesthetics for certain rooms, shapes, sizes and colors!

i did sometimes - i can never remember the names of them but sometimes i’d set out the ones that made noises that i liked lol - i never kept them out for long, though, as i never cared for the gyroids all that much lol

aww! i see! i had some of the pink ones in my rooms, the short chonk pink ones, tall thin ones, and super large ones! i liked the ones that brewster gave us too, but i may have used one or two in greenery rooms!

Yes, I love incorporating gyroids into my decorating. I have gyroids in 3 of the 6 rooms in my mayor's house in Sakura. I used a mixture of gongoids and percoloids in the main entry room, percoloids in the bedroom, and puffoids in the outdoor garden room. I also have a croakoid in my bug-themed room in the museum.

I'm still working on decorating my houses in my second town, but I will definitely use gyroids there as well. I'm not sure of all of them yet, but since I'm going for a darker, spookier theme I will almost certainly be using lullaboids and poltergoids.

On a side note, I would love to see gyroids being used as decoration outside in New Horizons.

gyroids outside in new horizons?? YES. i would love that too, i really hope they continue to incorporate all those funky ones into the game still for decorating! i'm glad you enjoyed using them as much as i did too!! <3 they are definitel cute

ah yes, the pink ones were my favourite! brewster’s were also really nice, too - kind of paid homage to when he used to store gyroids for us in previous games aha

I gave them jobs to do in my shop-type houses, usually cashiers (instead of mannequins):

I also used them a lot in my horror town for aesthetic and sound effects.

I generally like the look of gyroids and I like to collect them and find uses for them in my houses. I plan on doing the same in ACNH!

loooove your rooms and i love how you incorporated them so well into them!
it's a great idea of using them instead of the mannequins for sure!
and the sound effects for spookiness = brilliant

One of the houses in my town is a sanctuary/gyroid orphanage. I also used all of Serenity’s storage space to store every single gyroid, lol. I hope more than 4 gyroids can play at a time in NH, considering some sets have up to 6 gyroids. Wanted to have a choir of my golden dingloid angels, but it looked weird with a couple of them just static.

haha, that sounds funny, but cute. i think i had at most 4 in the room at a time so i never knew that it was limited to how many would play at a time? i hope you're able to have your golden dingloid choir in new horizons and invite us to a show!

I do. The sound each of them make and how I can select and mix it of a few in order to integrate the sound into room atmosphere, to give the room the impression I'm trying to express, is one thing I'm obsessed with/focus on the most when I make a new room.
Main room, basement and second floor are the first one I'm satisfied with my experiment with them. More to say, sounds are just the only thing I'm done there haha aha..

aww, that sounds really nice tho! sounds can really put together a room! i'm curious about what music people used in their homes/rooms so i might make another thread for that separately! i'm sure you've done some nice and pleasant/interesting sounds for your rooms. it's nice when people do little unique things!

okay! when i first got gyroids i wasn't a fan lol, most of what i found i didn't really even like because they weren't very pretty or what i was looking for but eventually i saw how many there were and how many cute designs and colors- so, they grew on me!

that sounds really nice! kk disco was where it's attttt. haha, definitely a fun song. i had a bunch of favorites but now i can't even remember which they were and there's too many to go down a list and check LOL. yikes!! stale cupcakes is always going to be such a funny name for a song but pretty pleasant somehow! nice to know you enjoyed having some gyroids around too!

I actually haven’t displayed any gyroids before; It’s funny because I used to be absolutely TERRIFIED of them! Hahaha. I will consider the idea for New Horizons! I’m not freaked out by them anymore

how nice!!! your fear is gone and you're free now :3 i'm sure if you find the right gyroids, you just might have lots of fun seeing them around- and if we can display them outside around our island, that would be even better!
