Did You Use Gyroids As Decorations?

I have never used them in my house before, but got a couple in one of my museum exhibitions 'Discover Trailmix' basically just a collection of things I discovered in my town, gyroids, ore, mushrooms in cases. Most boring museum ever lol.
I also them in my WW town, all gathered in one place outside when I had a Halloween theme, little gyroid graveyard

that doesn't sound boring at all! i think it's a really nice idea- to have sections of things you discovered. my museum rooms were filled with items to use as extra storage space lmao :^( that's very boring bh l0l and the lil gyroid graveyard sounds adorable, lots of them are perfect for that!

I use to decorate with them based on aesthetics and the noise they made in my house, but now I keep a full gyroids museum collection. :p

I love the Puffiods and the Brewstiods. I've only ever really used/wanted to use those in my house. Otherwise, I'd drop them around town for decoration. They look really cute on the ground!

My brother was always the one to collect gyroids- in City Folk and New Leaf. He'd collect literally every single one and fill all his rooms. He used the Museum in NL for his obsession, too. It was crazy. lol

Eons ago I had the brewstoids in my sitting/tea room.
They look cool, but they just do not really fit with my rooms that well.

!!!! they have a great aesthetic tbh!! i'm surprised not many saw that, but i guess they can also look odd and can throw some people off for sure! so understandable. i loved them too, i mostly went for the ones that looked pretty or had viviv or bright colors, pink, orange, blues, stuff like that! <3 having a gyroid museum collection is a nice idea, i bet that was really pretty!

i saw another user mention they did that tooo- dropping them on the ground for decoration because they looked nice that way! i never got to try that, but i am pretty excited to see how we can incorporate them into our new horizons island!! i'm sure they did look very cute on the ground though ;U; awww!! your brother sounds hilarious, in a nice way! i'm glad he enjoyed collecting them that much annnnd displaying them! they definitely were fun enough to do that with to me as well <3

i understand! i see the brewstoids fitting a brown and green room, like brown furniture and wallpaper with some green plants, lots of them around, and the items brewster gives you with the coffee stuff- adding them would make a nice green/warm cafe that i think the brewstoids would look very appealing in <3

I like to use the brewster gyroids, drilloids, mega gongoid (love the face), lullaboids, and warbloids. I have a museum room filled with the gyroids I have collected.

aww! i'm glad so many people also liked the brewster ones, i loved those too. and tbh using the museum exhibits for stuff like that is a really nice idea, it's just too bad i bought so many things that i had to use my rooms all as storages LMAO. but it's okay!! thankfully this new one has storage so it'll make collecting things so much easier i hope

i never liked gyroids tbh /: i only really like the look of one or two of them lol

aww, that's okay! they aren't for everyone of course. i do enjoy them. at least you can appreciate some of them so that's still nice!! they're such weird things lmao i want to play animal crossing now lmao ugh

To be honest I don't find it good-looking, it's even creepy. So no i never use them as decoration

I never liked them in older games, but there were some cute ones in NL. I never used them as decoration, though.

they're sooo creepy i can barely stand it ;-; only ever put them in haunted themed builds

I only use some of them if they really fit into the aesthetic or theme of my room.
I have a Halloween themed room with the purple colored rococo furniture, and I wanted to enhance the creepy theme so I put the poltergoid gyroids in there and they enhance the creepiness of the room.
I also use the howloids in my rooms.
I also use them when they sound good with the theme song of my room, like in a gamer house I have I use nebuloids in a gaming room that has K.K. D&B playing.
I really don’t go out of my way to place gyroids in a room, but some rooms they really compliment the aesthetic. I think they’re pretty fun! It’s like having a pet lol

Sometimes. I used them in a few rooms if their color or sound goes with the room itself, like lullaboid makes to make room more calm and relaxing, or dingloid in a room of pure gold.

Never. I just never really found them that interesting and always saw them as things that just took up space

awww! i do admit they are certainly creepy! i love the pink ones, i forgot what those are, but they're very cute and pink, with a heart on them so i enjoyed having them standing still in a cute pink room as a decoration, i never had a room loaded with them, just about one-three in a room that were usually nice. i didn't use the "ugly" ones but i do admire and can appreciate them all- but i think most fit the spooky/halloween themes best!

that sounds really nice and fun as well as creative! i'm sure it complimented your aesthetic very nicely and well! i used a few in certain rooms too that also complimented my aesthetic, here's one someone took in one of my towns clickly clack! i assume you did similar things? i'm sure it looked great <3 i enjoy them too!

yeah! i felt the same, whatever gyroid i had that would suit a room i had/color scheme i'd use! i provided a link picture in a reply here showing an example of one, i wish i had better photos showing more but could only find that one that showed a gyroid in it from a dream visiter! <3

:'^( aw, that's alright! i know not everyone likes them. i didn't for a while either until i saw some cute colored ones that seemed pretty and fit cute rooms or colorful rooms! i usually/// had them standing still but sometimes if it looked good, i'd have them move around

No. There’s too many and I find most of them to be ugly. I keep a few for club lol and I always start out hoarding them in a museum room. At some point I always end up selling them
