Anyone else refuse to trade outside of TBT?

I don't go near nookazon, because the people on there are just greedy and half the time don't even trade with you. o.o

Really? You and someone else really dont like it there, but I had a wonderful experience? They get back to me within 12 hours 90% of thre time - and 6-8 hours 75% of the time, very few are super greedy, most are nice and use emotes and stuff, and many have left me good reviews.

But I may be doing something differently, I look for someone who is:
~ allowed non-friend DMs on discord
~ are actually listed as online on Nookazon
~ have 4.5+ in reviews (sometimes I give others a chance though)

ive recently been using the ac discord, and most trades are alright!
however yesterday, i got sold a lucky cat for 40nmt just to find out it was duped...
i didn't realize there was another glitch which is my bad, but it was definitely frustrating

The rating system probably does a good job of keeping scammers out. I wouldn't say that I necessarily refuse to trade outside of TBT, but I generally prefer trading over here as opposed to other platforms.

i don't use discord due to bad memories there, and sometimes it can be a lil sketchy!! i don't use nookazon often either.

Yes I use other places. I joined a small knitting ACNL group and have no problems. I was able to leave my gates open for high price turnips/perfect fruit days. No one stole anything and everyone helps out with items.
I prefer to get things on my own but had to buy flowers from other players. Knitting group, bell tree and AC community helped complete my collection with no problems.

Everyone has a different experience. It's just the few times I have been on there, I haven't had great luck. So, I just don't go near the website, because what I have experienced wasn't great. But to each their own. If you have had great trades on there, then that's awesome. I just personally don't touch the website.

honestly i've been using nookazon and haven't had any issues! that's really the only other place i trade, and i'll trade with close friends on twitter but that's about it tbh.​

I've been trading on Discord for a while now and I haven't had any negative experiences besides obvious overpricing. There's also a whole server where people offer up villagers for free.

For the most part, I prefer to trade here since the feedback system is direct and easy to see (and I really love the community here1)

However, I sometimes trade on Reddit and recently started trading on Nookazon today. Both are very active and I've had no problems! I started trading on Reddit before TBT and people respond fast even after the post is old. I usually just message the person on Nookazon on Discord to arrange the trade if they're online and they typically get back to me very soon.

I usually do most of my trading here on the website and on the TBT discord. I have not had a bad interaction yet, and most people are super quick and friendly! And honestly, I can’t think of something I can get somewhere else that I couldn’t get here (for the right price and a bit of lurking/posting, of course!).

I tried Nookazon for a little while, but with the increase of their popularity, I found myself checking that less. Their economy seems super inflated (I refuse to pay 10+ NMT for a single crafted item that isn’t event/Celeste) and their discord moves too fast for me. It’s a little intimidating.

TBT is definitely my go-to! That, and while I’m shopping around, I can also read up on interesting threads such as this one !

I prefer here for villagers and Celeste and nookazon for NMT cos I don’t have tbt and NMT rate on there is a lot cheaper and I always get a reply when I ask there discord is insane it actually hit the cap so no more can join but on here I met some really nice people I guess it depends on the situation or items you want

I've never felt the need to venture outside of this community, especially because I've typically only heard negative things about them. I'm more here for the social aspect rather than for trading, and I've always felt pleased with the positivity that emanates from our society here so I'm satisfied enough not to go looking for anything else

This is the third place I've traded on in ANCH, as I have used ACNH Discord and Nookazon for most of my trades so far. People here are generally very kind and unselfish, which is not as common in those other places. So, I can see why some people would rather stay here!

Besides this fourm I enjoy using Nookazon because that way I can zone in on the exact item I want and the exact variations showing me the sellers who have them. Despite me preferring this site more, it's harder to find the stuff I want because I have to either make a LF thread, or browse tons of shops to see who has them. And thanks to the feedback system on Nookazon, all my trades have been fantastic. The site is always improving I'm very pleased with how much work the developers have put into it.

I think the only issue is that a lot of people ask for absurd stuff but that's 100% avoidable. I just ignore them and find someone more reasonable and it's very easy to do so.

TBT is for sure my main source for trades/online game-play, however I first started in ACC which is very similar to TBT and I've done some trades on discord when TBT was down for maintenance. The main reason why I love it here so much is because a lot of the people I interact with are friendly and helpful which is such a plus when you're searching for specific color variations of items. I tend not to stray from here since it's so reliable and I literally haven't had a bad online interaction in the 7 years that I've been on here.

This is really the only AC community so tend to venture to because it is active and friendly. It just feels more closed than something like Reddit. I did a few Amiibo trades on there but it wasn’t the same.

nookazon is way too expensive i've found, i've only traded w ppl here and on a v nice discord server i found and had nice experiences in both places,,,honestly i'm always on guard for bad ppl no matter where i trade but thats anxiety baybeeee

My boyfriend has watched me trading with people on this forum and he's always baffled by the fact people don't steal or do anything bad while they're on my island, he said that the forum is really "wholesome" and I think that's a great way to describe it here.

I don't use any other forum or platform to trade cause I trust the people on here, users here are friendly, polite, and often very generous I don't see any reason to go anywhere else personally
