Anyone else dislike lazy personality due to potential childish dialogue lol?

Personnally their childish dialogues don't bother me and it's actually one of my favorite personnalities. It fits Sherb so well, each time I talk to him he's just so cute!
The fact that they talk about bugs make me like them even more since I'm a lot into those little critters.

It's almost as if the lazy villagers are an in-game representation of me on some sides : Liking food and insects.

Oo man I despise bugs tbh LOL living here w/ house centipedes just trying to get them as far away as I can HAHA. *shivers in fear* Food on one hand yesss very relatable I live for some good eats lol.

When I played Wild World and New Leaf, I did not like the lazy personality, so I avoided them.

But in my New Horizons game, Claude the side-glancing bunny with the unibrow moved in, and somehow he's won my heart!

He's so earnest no matter what he's saying. I find that endearing. When he confesses that he's eating only snacks he could reach while lying on the floor or how he evicted a bug because it didn't pay the rent, I can't help but smile. (Or giggle a little. Yeah. I do that.) I actually like the way he talks about the bugs all the time. He's clearly great pals with them.

(I don't know. Maybe I can appreciate his little hobby because I'm someone who loves jumping spiders in real life. )

Awww haha I think that's so sweet! i'll reiterate bugs terrify me so it never bodes well hahaha, I do love reptiles though ironically do no like the Alligators lol hmm?

I think the childish dialogue fits when so many of them have childish designs. Take Joey for example, who is wearing a teddy bear t-shirt and a diaper. He's just straight-up a baby, so I don't really mind. I really love lazies, I think they're adorable and so is their dialogue but I completely understand how the whole baby-talk thing could be... kind of off-putting.

For now the only personality I don't like is Normal, and I don't hate them, just think they seem a little boring
Still miss a Cranky and a Snooty on my island so I'm very curious to know those personalities in the future !

Ooo haha very fair To me normals are aware? LOL of how boring they are so whenever a snooty initiates this it makes me laugh Ah but Crankies are the bees knees imo at least just old and angry but kindhearted yet caring <3 been my fav since NL^^ Best of luck learning of your favs!

I feel it's cringey when they talk about sharing snacks with a new villager who moved in. Sounds like something a kindergartener would do.

I also strongly dislike the bug talk. Mainly because it's out of place, out of character IMO, and just simply gross to be so comfortable with bugs in your house.

I actually don’t mind the childishness as I find it rlly cute and funny though. But I do agree that dialogue does need more work in this game though because it does kinda repeat after a while.

I would like to see more dialogue talking about their skills/career or their zodiac sign. It would be cool to see Beau talk about how much he hates boredom or show adventurous traits considering he’s and Aries, or how he’s always dreamed of being a mayor and how he enjoys staying up late at night (which are his canon skills and aspiration).

Haha also Sherb with my balloon hunting continues to refer to the so-called "monster" as "Lieutenant Burpy" seems a bit changed from NL which I genuinely loved w/ both Stitches and Beau too. I do understand and appreciate others' who love Lazies but for some reason the new dialogue has just been rather? different for me lol. Yeah every personality including my favs are typically acquired tastes or relatable in some way and I love this about AC in general having a "type" you can come to understand and love!

I'm hoping Sanrio ones return because Marty is the only Lazy I care about.

This would make me so happy as someone very fond of Kuromi from Sanrio haha just about any Sanrio inspired villagers returning would be wonderful!

I was playing with friends on Friday night and we were FaceTiming and I complained that I was hot because I jacked up the heat and that I didn't want to get up to turn the heat down and my friend said it was the most Stiney problem he'd ever heard so clearly I'm a female lazy. (Also a female cranky tbh.)
