i adored the lazy personality in new leaf because i am a foodie too, but now all they mention is bugs. and bugs are much, much less appealing than cake. if stitches tells me that some bugs whispered a recipe in his ear one more time, i'm getting an exterminator for his house
Anyone else dislike lazy personality due to potential childish dialogue lol?

LOLLL hahaha this just made me laugh. the pain w/ the mention of bugs tell me secrets and they're my BFF gets fairly overhwelming for me it's just the constant mention of "Lieutenant Burpy" sending balloons overhead where it crosses my potential line lol. I do love that others still love and appreciate lazies but I think NL was the winner for me <3

I've felt like lazy personalities have always been childlike. The main difference in this game is how often they talk about bugs. I'm sure the developers were trying to make them be like the types of little kids who are fascinated by bugs, but it feels like they took it a bit too far.
I was surprised with how childish the lazy characters are especially their voice. When I met Drago I expected him to have this deeper voice and not a really high pitched one. I’m SO disappointed in Bobs house. Like why is he in a child’s room? I like his character design but hate his house.

Ah you should hear the Crankies sing tho LOL. Baritone old man, Kaito/Len Kagamine untuned singing voice I had to record it everytime hahaha it gets me really bad
yeah tbh the voices for certain designs can be very off-putting to say the least.
Lazy is the best personality in my opinion so I disagree, lazies are really funny.

I agree that the lazy villagers are a little too over-the-top as far as their immaturity. It's just a little too much for me, not enough for me to avoid having them on my island, but enough for me to question if I should ever have two.

I actually really love their diologue, personally. Makes me feel more attached to them since they seem so childish. In new leaf it wasnt so explicit and for some reason I always viewed buskit as being more childlike than bob, but NH diologue leaves little to interpretation, which i don’t prefer but it’s okay.

i think childish is a separate personality from lazy, and i don't really get lazy vibes from drago (my lazy villager) which is a bummer. i feel like it's also less amusing because drago isn't so cutesy like other lazy villagers might be, although i do really like his dragon aesthetic so i don't want to get rid of him either. i hope they update the dialogue or maybe they'll evolve after some time.

To be honest I think that lazies have crossed the line from being childlike to being literally small children. How does someone who puts crayons up their nose and doesn't know what the "J" in PB and J stands for own a house? Where are their parents?

Agreed I love how we can all share thoughts and opinions on loved/hated villagers and seemingly get new info about everyone's favs <3 it's genuinely great to hear why people love and/or hate a certain type or even fall out of favor haha

Awww bit of shame to hear that, if they'd kept the dialogue mature for lazies it would have been super sweet to see Dobie as a lazy old man lol <3 I guess I can see why they had to switch it up?

I had 2 lazies so far: Boomer and Bones. They're adorable and fun, but they almost say the same exact dialogue (coded dialogue lines too few?) every time I talk to them that it gets kind of tiring. Unlike the other personality types (I guess aside from jocks?) that do have refreshing dialogues every now and then.
2 Kairi-Kitten: For the welcome amiibo they changed it, but we already have cranky Fang, Wolfgang and Lobo. I had them all in my wolf town just wish for more variety for the male wolves. The Octopi suffer the worst though.
