Am the only one who likes updates instead of having everything at once?

I honestly like the updates better..I know back in 2012 having everything in nl was great. I spent well 2000 hours on all three copies I had but now I kinda like the updates for nh. It always gives me something to look forward to. I felt in nl once I did everything I was bored,, but now I'm almost never bored because we get updates! It's like getting a present each month! I see potential in this game and I have spent 420 hours (lol) on this game aaaahh,,

Edit: I like getting free content ngl.

i’m the same way. while the current lack of content can make the game a bit boring as there’s only so much to do rn, the anticipation of future updates is always exciting and keeps me on my toes ^_^

it also makes me less tempted to time travel lmao

I don’t tt this go around, so it really doesn’t make that much of a difference for me since I’d have to wait anyway. I don’t mind the updates. That being said, I understand why other people would prefer the content all at once. I think it really depends on your preferred play style.

I agree 100% I time travel in this game but it's usually to kick a villager or get an item for trade,, knowing there aren't any major holidays to experience (aside from *shivers* bunny day) it keeps me from tting a lot unlike nl ;;

I Like them to keep updateing the game till a new System come out and Roll out the last update on the year it replacement is shown on E3. Halo 2 had Map DLC one last time when halo 3 was fresh and had no maps dlc yet.

No, I prefer it this way, just like I did with Splatoon.

It helps to keep the game fresh for longer, and gives me time to fully get my head around what the game has to offer before the next new thing is added and I can sink my teeth into that.

I think if everything were available right from the start, it might be a bit overwhelming. Plus I'd probably burn through all the content faster rather than enjoying each element for what it adds to the formula.

I'm all for the gradual updates.

I like the updates. Even though there’s lack of content at the minute we have something to look forward to!
Let’s be real here, if diving and everything had been in the game since launch people would still complain about lack of content
At least this way I don’t feel like I’ll put the game down soon and not pick it up for months.

I hope there’s fireworks in August in time for my birthday 😍

I like it. When I played WW and even when I first played NL, I didn't come online or read a guide so I had no idea what to expect from the game. That meant I missed out on lots of special items and was totally unaware of some mechanics in the games but I really enjoyed it. Now that I'm online, and lots of people time travel and I have the guide as well, I feel like I know too much! So it's good that there can still be surprises.

I agree! People would probably say the game is unoriginal or something.
My birthday is in August too. Maybe nintedo knew and wanted to celebrate! 18 here I come!

I really like it also. I don’t feel the pressure of accomplishing everything at once. The game isn’t a race so things being released over time really forces us to slow down. I can see why that’s not everyone but for me it’s great!

I like the updates, it's going to stop me feeling like my game is 'done', and I know that if I start playing AC less in the future, hearing about an update will bring me back to it.

That said, I do understand why some people aren't happy with it. I'd love Brewster right now, too!

I'm not sure... I like updates but I wish they were more frequent. I don't think the wedding event should have lasted this long and the summer update should have been earlier because tbh I started to get bored of NH around a week ago even though I only started playing end of May.

Also I don't get why so many people really want Brewster back. Yeah he was cool but tbh I never really cared about that aspect of NL and I would prefer to get the dream suite asap instead... I feel like this would really help with getting inspiration to decorate my island.

I really like the updates. It makes me not wanna time travel, and less spoilers by the people who do time travel.
In nl i burned out after 3 months, and while i started playing less now, i still don't feel burned out in the slightest.
I like having things to look forward too, and as someone above me put it very nicely: it really makes u appreciate each feature. Instead wanting to do everything at once

It's nice how Nintendo forces time travelers to enjoy the game itself and appreciate the payoff of waiting for once. 😆

I don't care either way, either I have to wait 30 days for a shop upgrade or Nintendo adds a new NPC with a monthly update. It's all the same.

It depends on the update for me. I think Redd should have been available from the start and you unlock after a certain number of donations to the museum or some time after the Nook upgrade. Diving was something that was in the start of NL and it only makes sense that you should be able to do it right away in NH and Pascal gets added as part of an update.

The updates are fine, but the timing of the release of the updates are kinda off putting. It takes a while to release the updates and the content of the updates aren't really content that would last 2 months, if your like me and zip right through all of it lmao. I guess I would appreciate if the game came out in one go, but I understand that by doing updates we're atleast guranteed that we would get support for the game for about a year or two.

I prefer this approach. It lessens the urge to time travel forward and burn through all the content faster. Now I only feel a need to TT backwards for things I miss. e.g. the Bug-Off yesterday - it was 8pm by the time I got around to playing it so I'd missed it entirely.
