I was thinking today..and I might know why the music in WW sucked.

NOTE: THIS IS THEORETICAL, AND MAY SOUND ********

The Gamecube music in AC sounded amazing, and was probably due to the fact that Nintendo was able to fit better music of bigger file sizes on discs. Though, looking at how the DS is a miniature N64, the music was a little crappier to be made to fit on a DS cart. Hence they also had to make room for the graphics, textures, etc., while AC for Gamebcube maybe could have fit it in with good graphics to the the well known fact that: Discs can fit more than cartridges. Discs = 8-9 GiB., DS Carts = 3-4 GiB. (or so i've read), meaning the music had to be small and of low quality. The music in GC probably sounded better because it used more notes and composition. The DS on the other hand, could only fit so much. Which is why looking at the Wii's capacity, I believe there will be new music, and only time will tell if that music is good or not. Me, being an AC veteran, can't stop myself from buying this. Why? Because I'm a total addict. But that's beside the point.

Again, this is really theoretical.
Your theory is very incorrect. The size of Animal Crossing for GC was approx. 1.34 gb and Animal Crossing Wild World is only 33 mb. Like Bul said It's more the melodies and such rather than any technical issues dealing with size and space.

Exactly my point.
It was late.

GET OFF MY BACK
:'(
Hahaha, just thought I'd let you know, better to have the knowledge then not ;P
Whatever...
As long as the gameplay has awesome value, (which I know it does) then I'm fine with that. Music isn't all what makes the game. Without the game, music is nothing.
And F.Y.I., I actually LIKED the WW music.
And that's my opinion.

Geez, I just wanted to inform you that the info you were provided with was incorrect, could responded a little nicer... I liked the Wild World music too by the way, you make it sound like I didn't like it.

Haha, yeah, I do like it too. Check out this video and tell me how it just can't touch you even a little http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKO-lcGWJQY

To be perfectly honest, I loved the music in AC:WW and I always had it stuck in my head so I wouldn't care if they kept it or not.

Also, even if the game only has a few features added I would still want it. I'm a massive AC fan and I still love the DS game to date so having a few bonuses + being able to play it on a widescreen TV = win for me.

Why change something that's beyond amazing just because a select few people want a completely different game? xD

...How so? Music exists outside of videogames, you know...
I think he means music in video games.
Okay... that still doesn't make sense though. 'Cause, you know, they can release game soundtracks on CD... or even spruce them up and orchestrate the tunes, like they did with Phoenix Wright.

I think I see both sides here.

Bul, you mean that music can exist outside of video games or even make video game music better/orchestrated and the such.

And I believe King Kombat means without the actual video game, let's take Animal Crossing for example, there would be no Animal Crossing music.

I believe that's where you guys are coming from.

indeed.

Okay, that might be true.

But in my opinion, without music, the game is nothing. Especially if the game is more...slow paced. Take for example, Animal Crossing, or even Phoenix Wright. There isn't anything particularly fast about those games. Your just kinda' chilling out, or in Phoenix Wright's case, reading. It's games like these where you really get a chance to pay attention and enjoy the music.

But with intense games, like maybe BioShcok or Half Life, you're constantly shooting things and jumping around so much, you're not necessarily thinking about the music right away. Not to say the music of those games isn't amazing, I happen to love the soundtrack of both of those games. Because your so caught up in the action, though, you might overlook some of the music in there, is all I'm saying.

Animal Crossing, and games similar to Animal Crossing, need good music to keep some people interested. I happen to be one of those people.

When I realized Nintendo was using Wild World's music in City Folk, it told me that they didn't really care. Either that, or they rushed the game and didn't have time to create some new music.

I know I'm rambling on now, but I just can't get hyped for this game. At the very least, and I'll say it again, I wish they would have given the option of Wild World's music, or the GC Animal Crossing's music (which I liked very much).

If you still don't think Wild World's music is in this game, I can certainly keep going.

I can tell you right now that it's not, but then you'd probably hit me with a "YOU DON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU PLAY THE GAME!!!11!!!!"

But, hey, I hope your right. I hope they really do end up havin' some good music in there.

'Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Wait how do people know if the music is reused or not?

And some music can be reused just to keep something old, like lets say the mario theme song, or some songs that just happen to make it into the sequels of games because they were good and meant to represent the series.

however if the entire soundtrack is reused
