Question about bushes.

So Im trying to make a large square out of bushes but some of them keep dying. Why does this happen? Cwn you only line up so.many bushes? Or do some spots just always die? And no, they arent too close to a house or anything.

You can have a max of 12 bushes/tree connected at once.

There are dead spots in towns.
You can only have 12 bushes/trees in a row (even going around a corner).
You can't enclose an area.
You could try:

OBBBBO
BOOOOB
BOOOOB
BOOOOB
BOOOOB
OBBBBO

O=open space
B=bush

Basicly make a square of bushes but leave out the corners. That way (technically) it isn't enclosed.
I saw this done in a Dream Town (don't remember the town).
