Not snowing in my town

It's supposed to snow all day on December 10th in every Animal Crossing game so the snow sticks to the ground the following day, but I didn't see snow falling at all in my town. I know there is a bug that if there is a Fishing Tourney on the same day it won't snow, but it was on the 9th which is the day before, plus it was snowing in my New Leaf town so I don't know what’s going on.

It was covered in snow the day after, and it snowed later that night, so I'm guessing it doesn’t actually snow all day on the 10th, and snowing all day was only on the original Animal Crossing
