I started my town and invited Chadder from another town to move between the hours 12-3am. But now it's 1:38pm and there isn't a plot for Chadder or any villager. I thought a new day started at 6am?

No New Villager or Plot

It may be more than one day. I adopted a villager on the 21st and still didn't get a plot, people suggest it might be because of the recent and upcoming holidays such as Winter Solstice and Toy Day.

Oh, I misread, you shouldn't adopt another villager over Chadder.

I wouldn't. Just in case the new one might override Chadder. I don't know if it will but just to be safe.

Though I asked Tank to move in from the campsite on the same day I asked Opal to move in from another town. I got Tank in 2 days and Opal 2 days after that.
