Restarting: first three plots, can I invite villagers moving out from other towns?

Hi! I just started a new island and I wanted to see if I put a plot down, can I invite a villager from someone else's town instead of having to island hop? I just really find it tiring to do the whole nmt thing, I'd rather adopt villagers in boxes.

I am sorry to say no that is not possible. The first 3 plots are for villagers that are your starters. If you choose not to go on a Nook Mile Hunting the day after the airport opens the 3 plots will be autofilled once the work prep is completed. If you did try to go Nook Mile Hunting there is a problem. The villagers you get are restricted to only 3 personalities which are Lazy, Normal, and Peppy. So if you're trying to get any villager from any other personality it will not work.

Thank you so much! this is so thorough! I totally forgot how it worked, it's been so long since the last time I played. I'm currently trying to get nmts lol I am not a fan of the island hopping part of the game let me tell you. Anyways fingers crossed for Daisy, Lucky and a nice peppy rabbit.
