Must Feng Shui be in every room to really take effect?

So my question is: Must Feng Shui be applied to every room in the house to really take effect, or is just the main room enough to get the benefits?

As it is now, my main room is entirely dedicated to feng shui, but I'm wondering if that's enough.

And a bonus question: does it matter how much red,yellow,green items I put in the same room?

I mean will the effect be greater if I have 5 yellow items instead of 3?

A lot of people have just one room dedicated to feng shui.

I think it's the main room which will take effect. I think if you 'put' it in other rooms it won't work.

Feng shui should apply to all rooms. At the very least, the HHA gives a feng shui placement bonus even in side rooms, so that suggests feng shui does apply to them.
