Is there a way to organize collectibles?

I have noticed that some people have their collectibles lined up just so, or in a pattern, and it looks very nice!

Can someone explain to me how this is done?

collectibles display from newest shop purchase date to oldest, from left to right.

people often seek trades so they can get the dates needed for their collectibles to display in the desired order...

Yeah it's all by purchase date, so to get them in a certain order you have to buy/trade for ones that are in chronological order. Mine are so perfect cause the carns were released before the pansies. =D
