Lazy - This is my favorite personality type, but I have to pick my favorite villager ever, Hugh.
Jock - Picking for this category made me realize how little jocks are my favorites. Not that I don’t like them, I’d say more like a lack of interactions. I’ll still pick Teddy, Jay, or Hamlet for this type.
Smug - I don’t like this type as much as most people do, but I’ll go with Eugene.
Cranky - There’s a lot of crankies I like, for example, there’s Static, Peewee, Fang, Wolfgang, and Butch, but my favorite has to be Apollo. I even have his amiibo card!
Normal - Another personality I like a lot. They’re MOSTLY all just really cute and sweet. My favorite is probably Lolly, but Maple, Goldie, and Daisy are some others I like.
Peppy - This one’s way easier, I pick Rosie. She used to be my favorite villager.
Sisterly - For this I pick Cherry. It also wasn’t as hard to pick because in New Leaf my only other sisterly was Muffy who left less than a month after I got the game, and Renee in my New Horizons island who’s been here since I got the game.
Snooty - If you ignore how rude they were in older games, they’re a pretty decent type. Mint is probably my favorite one.

Good thing we can list more than one villager, ‘cause I like too many. I'm mainly listing villagers I either currently have or once had, but there's a few in here I wish I'd have.

Lazy

• Bob - So chill-looking. He’s pretty much been my favorite out of all the villagers since New Leaf, and has been my profile picture on some sites for sometime now. The 8 bit glasses I put on him are just perfect.
• Punchy - A veeeery close second. I love his appearance (especially his whiskers), and he fits his personality perfectly in terms of appearance. If I couldn't have Bob, I’d definitely have Punchy instead.
• Beau - I really like most of the deer villagers, so don't be surprised if you see quite a few in here. He's somewhat similar to Erik (who I also like) but looks cuter. He'd be my lazy villager of choice that isn't a cat.
• Filbert - I've always liked him, and I've liked him even more when I got him randomly once. He's the only lazy squirrel, and a good one at that.

Jock

• Poncho - Honestly the cutest looking jock ever. I love it when he acts like a kid sometimes, because it makes sense with him being a bear cub.
• Bam - He looks cool and competitive. He could be my athletic coach any day.
• Scoot - He's hilarious. Whenever he brags about being "muscular", I just can't help but laugh. He's a duck with a swim cap (that he never takes off) and flaps for arms. Try not to make fun of him, I dare you.

Cranky

• Apollo - He's probably the most awesome-looking villager in the series. A tough eagle born on the 4th of July. Can't get more 'merican than that.
• Tom - Literal cool cat. Unlike many cranky villagers, he actually doesn't look mad most of the time, which is what I like best about him. His official lore is cool, too.
• Roscoe - My favorite horse villager. Just referring to him as "dark horse" is cool within itself. His angry expression is also very believable.
• Bruce - I'm writing a whole story around this guy. Spruce wood, Brucewood. Yep, the pun just writes itself.

Smug

• Lopez - My favorite deer of them all. Most people say that he wears eyeliner. Normally, I'm not a big fan of makeup on male villagers, but wow, Lopez pulls it off very well. It's a crime that Nintendo hasn't put him into Pocket Camp yet.
• Jacques - A bird DJ who's most likely French. The fact that smugs in NH frequently speak in different languages (and poorly translate back to English) makes him perfect for his personality.
• Kyle - Me and him share birthdays. 'nuff said.
• Raymond - When NH was released, everyone and their moms wanted Raymond. I can see why. Ignoring some of the rather controversial fan art he gets, he actually reminds me of David Bowie, who also had color-mismatched pupils and had many different personalities. I really wouldn't mind having him.

Peppy

• Dotty - My favorite female villager. She has such a simple design, but is so incredibly cute. I want a plush of her so bad.
• Cookie - Even though she has massive facial features, that never bothered me. She's a pink dog, and is also very cute. I never had her before, but maybe that will change in the next game.
• Patty - Got her randomly over three years ago, and is still on Wahu because she grew on me super hard. I originally didn't really care much about a cow villager, but that changed pretty quick, and now I don't want her to ever leave. Also if you have her on New Year's Day and it's the year of the ox, talk to her and she'll have unique dialogue!

Normal

• Caroline - Nobody ever seems to talk about her, and I don't understand why. She's a tropical squirrel with a rather bright appearance, and I really think she needs more love.
• Skye - She's the type of villager I would love to have long conversations with. Kinda reminds me of someone I knew and talked to in high school, who unfortunately I've lost touch with. I had Skye on my island for a few months, and would love to have her again.
• Fauna - Another cute deer villager who I'd love to have in a cottage-themed town. I could even pair her with Beau or Erik if I wanted to.
• Lolly - Yeah, she's very popular, but also has a cute appearance. I'd love to have her.

Snooty

• Mallary - One of the first villagers I remember having since City Folk, and I've had her in almost all my towns since then. Pretty underrated as I never see anyone talk about her.
• Olivia - Her appearance fits her personality very well, and I like her a lot. Then again, I like a lot of cats.
• Julia - She resembles a male peacock, but I never really take that into account as I like her appearance a lot anyways.

Sisterly

• Cherry - I love how easygoing she can be, and her appearance is cool. She can definitely pull off the tough-girl look.
• Katt - Pretty underrated for a cat. She would be my second pick of a sisterly villager behind Cherry.
• Phoebe - A phoenix. Probably the coolest-looking female villager in my opinion.
• Quinn - I love how elegant she looks without her being a snooty villager, which is awesome.
