Campsite Question

Do campers turn up if you're at 9 villagers?
For a long time I've had a campsite and only ever 1 camper. (Kidd)
Simon moved out on Xmas day and now I've sudden;y got another camper. (Biskit)

Is this just coincidence or am I expecting more campers to show up than actually do?

The 10th villager can only be achieved by inviting a villager from another town or the campsite, so I'm assuming yes. I might be wrong on this. The 10th villager can also be achieved by waiting normally, but it takes forever.

Campers do show up if you're at 9 villagers. However, it seems more common that they show up when you're at 10, which is annoying but oh well.

It kind of depends. I don't get many campers. I'd go weeks without a camper sometimes three weeks, and then I'd have three day straight with campers, or have three campers stay every other day and it's usually a cycle like that for me. Some towns people get a camper one a week, twice a week even. When I'm down to eight villagers or have ten villagers I get campers more often.
