Exactly! It's fake. it shouldn't even be called American cheese Kraft made it because they needed something to keep the company from going bankrupt. It should be called "Fake, Kraft cheese"

Not a fan of American cheese. I use different cheeses for different things, like mozzarella or parmesan. But if it's for something like macaroni or grilled cheese, I'll use Pepper Jack.

It's pretty disgusting. We used to have it in our house but only melted. It's gross any other way. We no longer buy it. We buy actual cheese. lol

I really enjoy it, but it's because it's one of those "comforting" nostalgic things. Like I used to always have it on bologna sandwiches as a kid, like this exact sandwich: White Wonder Bread, Best Foods Mayo, French's Mustard, Kraft American Slices, and Oscar Meyers Bologna. And so like it's a huge nostalgic thing, every once in a while I crave it so I'll make my self a mayo, american cheese, and yellow mustard sandwich. I also really enjoy it in grilled cheese, because it turns into magma.
