A villager is due to move in, I have started my town with a new character and there is no plot, if I just reset and play as my mayor there isn't a chance that a plot will appear today right?

Or can they still appear even if there was none with the new character?

I really don't wanna have to place a house down as the new character just to remove again if there is no chance of a plot appearing today.

There's a chance that a plot will appear if you don't save on the new char. :c
 
If you have 9 villagers, then there will be no plot. You would need to get a villager from the campsite or another town. If you have 8 or less villagers, there should be a plot. If there's not, try again on a new character. :)
 
Yeah I have 8 that is why I know 1 is due :)

And thanks! Guess I will just plonk the house down and delete then just incase xD
