Well, that's quite an outdated thought. The more and more humans learned about positioning of stars and planets, the smaller and smaller the chance of sustainable life is somewhere other than here. It's actually more logically reasonable to believe that our world was created by something rather than by chance of the formation of planets. Even if a planet were created with sustainable conditions, creating the first cell from amino acids and having it successfully reproduce has such small chances. Obviously I don't want to get into a creationism debate here, but my point is that there is more than likely no other life. Even if there is, it wouldn't be intelligent, and even if it was, it wouldn't come to Earth.
i don't think you understand the sheer size of the universe and how many planets and chances there are for life to form, in addition to long the universe has been around
