Your Town is now Corrupted

I don't really mind because it was a BRAND NEW town. I just started yesterday. I'm kind've ticked because I bought it from Gamestop used and I hope the cartridge itself isn't broken. I didn't interrupt the savings by popping the cartridge or powering off.
So, others who have had their game corrupted, what did you do? I'm just going to either get a new cartridge or make a new town and pray it's not gonna kill itself. Once again, nothing gained and nothing lost. :L Just inconvenient.


If my main town got corrupted, I'd flip out.
What would you do if your town got corrupted? I mean, Julian gone!

I bought link to the past used and it was broken. Then I bought pokemon dungeon used and it was broken.

I don't think this one is really broken though. I'm gonna give it another shot. :L

Yikes, that's bad luck. I haven't gotten a broken game from Gamestop in years. D: I would restart the game if something like that happened to me. It'd be a shame to lose all that progress, but progressing is usually the fun part.

I have accidentally popped out the cart without turning the power off before but not while playing when was in rush to switch towns...I hope this does not happen commonly. I always buy new I don't trust even old ds machines as memory card may be full of junk.

You may want to invest in Power Saves. Not for the "cheating" aspect, but simply because you can back up your save data. For SD cards, I'd suggest you pop it in a computer and copy all the non-DCIM files to make sure your game is copied and backed up.

Depends on the town. I'd be sad if Valley corrupted but I'd deal with it. If Zombie did I'd be heartbroken and not play for a long time. That is why I'm extremely careful when playing and saving my game

I have a glitchy downloaded game that does really weird stuff if I don't watch it carefully, corrupting included. I've been using it as a cycle town lately.

If my town got corrupted, I think a looooooong time would pass before I bought a new copy and played ACNL again.

So much work went into it and finding all my dreamies and so on was a huge hassle. I would probably be too angry/moody about it to get another copy quickly.

If my main town got corrupted, I'd have a breakdown and wallow in misery for days xD; I'd miss my villagers so much. I know I can always get the exact same villagers, but they won't be the same... *is way too sentimental about pixel animals*

Eh, I got a corrupt cart new from GameStop. It's a risk no matter what, new or used :c (my poor Beau and Hamphrey)

I heard someone did this and it erased their town. If this worked, there'd be nothing to stop people form playing infinite towns on one SD card.

I think that to be safe, Op, you should return the cartridge. Next time it corrupts might be after you have an established town.

If Celadon corrupted, I'd probably get really upset and shed a few tears. I've had it since December, it was my first town of any AC game. I'd be indifferent if my others did, I've been ignoring them anyway. ^.^'

I would definitely be pretty bummed out, but I'd get over it and start a new town after a few days. I've been wishing lately that I had done so many things differently, so I guess it would give me a chance to. It would just suck pretty hard to wait for all the shop and home upgrades again.
