have you ever lost your save data?

I saw the threads about the game randomly crashing, and it reminded me of the time when I got on my game in July 2015 just to find a message saying "The save data is corrupted". back then there was nothing I could do to recover or save my data, so after trying in vain to fix it for three days straight, I ended up being forced to permanently delete my original NL town. I still miss it to this day

I still have that original cart, and I did create a new town which I still have even now. I haven't gotten a message about corrupted data since then.

has anyone else encountered this problem? it's really strange and it definitely sucks when it does happen.

Almost when i got a new 3ds the same year welcome amiibo came out, turns out i had to update acnl to welcome amiibo to get that save data back.
