aesthetic but i wouldn't have it on mine because aside from the risk, there's stigma attached to hacked items. i read stories of people visiting islands to trade or sell turnips, and felt uncomfortable just by seeing those trees.

those so called 'risks' weren't really proven but i understand why people would feel uncomfortable seeing them as they are artificial and aren't ment to be in the game.

true, but you'll never know. the risk was basically just people being cautious because during that time nintendo was constantly updating the game after several glitches/hacks were discovered. then it was debunked after an update & people still have the trees, or that it never really caused a dead square/block on someone's. i doubt that will happen tbh, at best it could just disappear (not the trees, but the decor itself). unfortunately, i think the worry with risks will remain because it's a game that is constantly being updated.
Kinda felt weird seeing an island with them for the first time but now I kinda just shrug it off or just note it's pretty depending on what type of hacked tree it is.
I may attempt to get some but that's probably when I'm trading less or close to done with my island.

I don't have anything against them. But I surely don't want that thing sitting in my island.

I never want to take any chances with my save data, so I will never want them nor will I ever visit an island that has hacked trees. I don't want to lose all of my progress, and I know that a lot of people tend to believe they are safe, but I don't want to do anything UNLESS I know with at least a 99.9999999% certainty it is safe to do.
Basically this. Also I'm not that much into the game to either make them appear nor take the risk (if that made sense lol)

Not worth the risk. Plus they’ll likely patch it sometime which makes them very expensive cedar trees. I decorate with star clocks and fragments.

I don’t like to use any hacks so I won’t touch those with a ten foot stick (I really want a legit pitfall seed tree tho...)
the star fragment trees are super pretty and they’d look great in my celestial campground but the idea of having anything hacked on my island scares me a bit - people can have them if they want and manage to get their hands on them but i could never do it ;u;
