I have a question out of curiosity, it may be dumb, can you actually get star fragments from shaking them or is it just decoration?
And no.. I don't plan on ever getting one
I think they are beautiful, but I personally don’t think they are “fair” and violate the spirit of the game. Again—they can be quite amazing, though.whats your take on islands that have em?
omg that's crazyyythis is a great video about those hacked trees, look like its not recommended to shake them lol
I never want to take any chances with my save data, so I will never want them nor will I ever visit an island that has hacked trees. I don't want to lose all of my progress, and I know that a lot of people tend to believe they are safe, but I don't want to do anything UNLESS I know with at least a 99.9999999% certainty it is safe to do.
Not really safe. When the trees are shaken, the items that fall off will permanently stay on your Island and you won't be able to remove them. I think that's pretty game-breaking.I refuse to watch that video above based on the dumb thumbnail and clickbait title alone. (This is nothing against the person that shared it, just my general distaste for creators like whoever made that.) But thanks for letting me know not to shake them, it's about what I expected.
I am actually that sure it's safe but it's still not worth it. Reason 1 is because I simply refuse to go to ebay and pay someone to give me a virtual item, reason 2 being that Nintendo could easily remove them from your save with any future update anyway, and reason 3 being that 0.0000001%. We still don't have a save backup function.
They don't look that amazing anyway... I could achieve something prettier just by creating a display that is, you know, not a tree.

i agree looks too scary, i will never get thosethe way the crown & robots fell... yep.. totally risky
accidentally shaking trees is pretty common, how could people have these?
