Having the option for other buildings would be welcomed (without being forced to include them). The cafe would be the biggest example and one I'd plop down instantly, though having additional 'out of theme' buildings may be a little off-putting for me.
Currently, I'd rather have the ability to adjust the look of current buildings similar to how we were able to customize Town Hall in New Leaf or exteriors in Happy Home Designer. Sometimes I look at the Museum and think about how I'd much rather have the original tent instead as it'd fit better with my desert aesthetic.
The cafe and the option for more would be fantastic. Would love having the post office back or built into Resident Services since the island is more or less developed once you unlock KK.
Yes, a new building would be welcome especially if it comes with new activities. I have so much room for activities!
I would welcome anything new to do at this point, not because I don’t think the game is great, I just want to keep playing and I’m having a hard time being motivated as of late, so I think it would bring new life to the game.
SO SO SO badly! I have so many places on my island I'd LOVE to place a building like a cafe or something and it's such a bummer we don't have any more right now.
I know some players use character houses for that, but that isn't gonna cut it for me. It's just not the same!
I would be happy to get a new building as personally I have space left over and no idea how to use it. I think it would be so much better for people who have beautiful detailed islands to introduce upgrades to current buildings like in new leaf. Brewsters could be in the museum, Gracies in T&T emporium. Then I would want Katrina, Club LOL, police station
I would love the cafe most of all or some place where you can have more fun interactions with the villagers and items (the villagers hold sandwiches and drinks and can eat and drink them but our reps can’t :/). Or a place that sells us that food and drink furniture we don’t have (like the stuff from HHD).
I’d be happy with any building as long as it will be something I’ll want to visit a lot and not something I’ll go to once like with Leif, I only bought from him a few times to get all the flowers I need. Not sure if I will ever need bushes so for now I am done with him. If they give him a building, maybe have him offer more of a variety of plant items (furniture as well as some bushes without flowers, European/American bushes and not all Asian type of bushes for those that have specific themes for their islands).

I would love to have new buildings. It would be great if they were optional since not everyone wants them. If I could I would have 3 new buildings. Kicks would have his shoe store. Leif would have his flower shop. Brewster would be back in his Cafe.
I only want the Roost or the Police Station from NL. Possibly both but maybe only the Roost if I had to pick just one because I don't want too many buildings on my island. They could expand Resident Services and add the Police Station OR they could expand the museum again and have the Roost on a second floor.
Yes! The island is big enough that it needs more buildings to feel like a town. There are plenty of traveling merchants that they can give shops to. And they could even make more traveling merchants if they wanted to if they are that important to the "deserted island build up your own island" feel.
I'd take extra buildings and new content. If you don't have room on your island and you really like the extra content they bring in, you can always rework a spot to make room. In NL, I don't think you needed to add every building that was suggested by the pwps/villagers. You could leave it alone. You didn't even have to add the Roost in your town.
So I am sure it will work the same way as from NL.
I would love a cafe, but I’d settle for upgrades to Nooks and Ables, and different exteriors for our characters houses (including different shapes like the castle or modern house from New Leaf).
I'd definitely like another building, as I have the space to accommodate it and it might prompt me to change how my island is set up, lol. Though I can definitely understand some people not wanting another building if they've already built up their island the way they want it and decorated it such that having to fit another building onto their island would cause them to have to rip things apart.
i’d personally love another building! i’m particularly hoping that the roost will be standalone rather than merging with the museum if it ever gets added but i wouldn’t mind another building or two in addition to that. my island is still mostly undecorated so i’ve got room.
I would love the option to add additional buildings only if they're optional though. Like if they added buildings that required you to buy the building kit via bell or nook miles.
That way you can place them where you want and then move them if you want like you can the shops. Also, I would just love an expansion on Nook's Cranny. It's so small and I'd love a bigger one with more options like in previous games. It doesn't need to be like Nook's Emporium big, but it would be nice to have it sell more furniture.
