Hi! My town is at a point where it's getting there, but still a lot to do before it's 'complete' imo. My dream address is 7E00 010A F363 and I've just updated it - would really appreciate it if people could take a look and lmk what they think! Most of the shrubs aren't in bloom but they're alternating blue/pink hydrangeas. All path patterns made by myself, this is a non-TT town that I've had for years and only got back into in the last month or so.
Responses and visits really appreciated - please and thank you!
Looks good! I think once your permanent villagers move into the designated spots the town will look feel way closer to feeling "complete", as well as when you add a few flowers to the town. All the PWPs and paths are laid out nicely and it was fun to walk around ^^
Thanks so much! Yeah I'm hoping the same - can't wait till I've bred some more hybrids (trying to self-breed, at least till I reach a point where I've bred enough that buying them isn't a significant benefit) so I can start spreading them around In your opinion, do you think I've chosen the villager spots well? I do love those towns where they're all lined up perfectly in one area, but I just can't see an area for them all that'd work better than having the current things there! So I've tried to place them near the plaza and lined up separately instead
Yeah they're in good spots n-n
I love it when villagers are spread out through a town but with a neighbor so they're not too alone. Something I've noticed is that since all my villagers are all in one row, most of them cluster around the same place when they're walking around town, so it's probably more fun to space your villagers homes.
Also one thing I noticed but forgot to mention is the Jungle gym looks like it's on top of the path, but that's an easy fix x)
Checked out your dream... Overall, definitely a WIP, but there some good potential. My suggestions:
-The patterns you made look pretty good, but I think the stone parts could use a little more texture - like gravel specks and such.
-The thin left path could use some variety than just Hydrangea bushes. Try adding other kinds of decor for it, like arches, trees, and other kinds of greenery.
-The tree placement looks a bit random in many places, and stands out from the uniformity of the path structure you're going for. Try cleaning it up a bit to match the paths, if you can.
The Illuminated heart works great with Re-tail - but to improve it, maybe place it 1 space upwards to make it closer.
-I kind of noticed how you tried to drop paths to control where villagers move in. Once you have most of them settled, I hope you can clean a lot of the paths up for more space for other things. Many of them feel unneeded to go where you need to go.
-The houses are WIP, but I kind of see what you're going for. Don't be afraid to mix up and experiment with carpets and set pieces to improve them.
Other than that, I like what you're trying to make - especially the villager homes around the Plaza. You don't have to line them all up in a single row - just go for a good structure, and spread the homes like the plots you made suggest. Keep it up!
Thanks so much both! Oops forgot to mention about that path next to the climbing frame - only recently shifted it and still need to move the climbing frame, so will do this asap! And definitely going to get rid of those white path pieces - they're only there to mark things out! I may have a go at adding a bit more texture to the stone somewhere down the line - it's something I find very hard to do but will bear in mind, thanks! Also I think you're right about moving the heart closer to retail and would like to try - do you think it will definitely fit? Just can't see why I didn't put it closer originally! All the advice is really helpful, thank you!
