Who's keeping diving creatures?

I am keeping those which are difficult to catch, like the vampire squid, gigas giant clams and giant isopod. I am also keeping some horseshoe crabs, thinking of making a petting zoo along with the snapping turtle and giant isopod, and keeping couples of seaweed on the beach as decoration.

My storage is too full to hold onto them in hopes of making models! How I accrued 1,600 items, I'll never know... I hope they make models eventually, though. I really want some sea stars to place along my beaches!

For now,I did keep a few to decorate my marine research station - though of course just one of each, and those are on display, and not in my storage.

I keep the sea anemone on a table in my main room. It just looks so pretty with its colours! I really like how it sways back and forth in the water. The motion is relaxing to watch.

Early on I kept some diving creatures just in case we get the Harvest Festival from ACNL added in November. Some recipes needed diving items. After catching scallops all the time I sold everything. Creatures are easy to catch in this game.

Seaweed, snowcrabs, a seapig and giant isopod is what I'm keeping.

The horseshoe crabs freak me out but Miranda found them cozy.

I keep most of the seaweed on my beaches as decoration! I also kept one gigas giant clam and also the vampire squid (? don’t remember the exact name lol) just because I think it looks cool.

I've kept a couple of giant isopods for the back rocks of my island since I think they add an interesting element to them.

I started off doing that but I quickly ran out of storage. So now I only keep what I want to use as decoration and some of my favourite ones like the vampire squid and jellyfish. They're all common enough that I don't worry about having to catch them all again.

My beaches are now littered with horseshoe crabs because I really like the catchable stuff like that that just chills when you place it (do not even ask me how many turtles there are all over my island, it is embarrassing at this point. SO MANY SNAPPING TURTS.) I also have like toooo many vampire squids, isopods, and gigas clams because 1. they're all pretty/cute/neat when you place them!! and 2. omg y'all a REAL PAIN to catch and if/when models become a thing, I do not want to re-do all that work >____> so I would rather wrangle storage/decor now and NOT SUFFERRRRRRRRR LATERRRRRRRRRRRR like. Getting some stuff back from Nook's catalog? A few days and some bells. Not having to hunt down however many dang supersonic fast clams? Priceless.

I accidentally sold two horseshoe crabs the other day, thought about keeping at least one for "beach pet" purposes. Apart from that I have some seaweed as decoration on my beaches/rocks and my second character is keeping a sea slug as a pet. It looks so adorable!

I put some seaweed on my beaches otherwise I’ve been selling them. I prefer to save space in my storage for clothes and furniture

like you, i’ve sold all of them. i was tempted to keep some of the moon jellyfish in case we’d be able to make models of them but since we can’t, i’ve just sold everything since i don’t have room to be keeping them lmao

I WOULD but I don't have any more friggin storage space to spare!! Really I just need to take all the clothes out and get rid of them. I could just buy them for the next day if I want to wear them save for the crowns and craftable ones... ugh. I do this in reality too. I just have so many clothes I'm never going to wear.

I have a moon jellyfish in my room, horseshoe crabs and seaweed on my beach. I haven't found the spider crab yet (North hemipshere) but when I do I will acquire a small army to guard my home
