Hey guys!

I always wondered why I could even imagine resetting my town, even if I got bored of it.
Now since the update you can even profit from it big time, and people are cleary taking advantage of it, and I still cant get myself to reset my town!
(Even though Ive played in it for 2 years) But its so tempting!
before this their was AC wild world, which I played for about 5/6 years, and always the same town... I dont know why but I just get so attached to the same routes and place, and some villagers who are ancient in my town..
But its just a game? Its not even like my town is very progressed or a special theme or something :p

Anyone else who is overly sentimental about their town? :p

(Just to be clear, Im not bashing those who can reset it... I actually envy them! Haha)

I am! I'm glad I'm not alone. Haha!
I've only been playing a year and finally about done with landscaping, the pwps and designing it.. but I need to see it in spring to be sure! Also have 3 villagers left that are originals: Fang, Rosie and Julian.. and although I have their amiibo cards, I don't have the heart to kick them so I can plot them where I like! I've even gotten a little tired of Julian but I can't seem to let him go.. xD

I currently have four towns, but Bunifrey is my gaming baby and I could never consider resetting it. I love all of my rabbit villagers, plus I made it in memory of my bunny, so it's doubly special to me. So I'll be playing that town until I or my 3DS dies.

I have had my town since the summer of its american release date and I can't bring myself to reset my town. I know that if I do I'll regret it and miss all that I already have. There have been times where I get bored of my town and when that happens I just take a break and come back to it later. So yeah, I'm pretty attached too, I love my town and its villagers.

I started my town last month and even though it's not much i'm never going to part with it. I don't know how people can reset their towns so easily!

Haha it's great to see im not the only one! I guess im kind of a hoarder in real life and in animal crossing :p
(Not a reality tv kind of hoarder tho ^_^' )

After all the progress I've made and obtaining my most favorite villager ever, I couldn't stand resetting both my towns. I don't know how some people can just reset away after working their butt off on their towns and getting all their dreamies and then start from scratch like it's nothing. I could never do that. I'd feel so empty if I lost all my hard work and villagers.

My town is the same one I had since I started the game in 2013. I've never reset, not once. I'm very proud of it and attached to it as a result and would never dream of resetting.

I think I put a lot of effort (which compared to many others is not much, lol) into my town. I got the game in 2014, and haven't really played much, however now that a lot more time has passed I could never give up the very first town I started.

Also, I can't even imagine having to start from scratch and re-decorate my house, as well as re-obtain my favorite villagers.

I've had the same town since I started playing in 2014 and I still have 3 original villagers. I could never reset. And I never time traveled either (until recently because I stopped playing for a while and now I'm catching up).

Yuuuppp, me! I feel super sentimental about about my town, even tho I reaaaally don't like some of the stupid pwp placements I've done (nonmoveable ones like the coffee shop lmao)
Oh well ;u; One day I'll move on.

I definitely am... I kicked my roommate out of my town when I saw her running even thought it was on the pavement...

I definitely understand that feeling-- For me, the older the town is, the harder it is to get rid of it. I actually cried when the update came out because I had a dream code of my original town that my little cousin erased. I still visited it and with the update, I can never see that town again except through old screen shots (if I could even find them). I sold my second town due to a time travel incident, but used hacking to make a replica of the old town map and get back my villagers... But it wasn't the same. None of them knew me anymore of course. The Merengue that told me "have you been working too hard? Please remember to rest and take care of yourself!" when I stopped playing for a month to focus on school was no more. The Whitney that moved to my boyfriend's town would never recognize me as her old Mayor ever again.

I ended up regretting it quite a bit in some ways. I'm still not sure it was worth it. Our towns grow on us and sometimes we just get really attached. I always offer to help people with corrupted files because it's one thing if you lose your town to a hacking mistake or something else where you're at fault-- to just lose years and years of interactions... I dunno. These little stacks of data can really be important to you. Not to mention the character's personalities massively alter from the default to the best friend stages. It's just, kind of like a second home. You worked hard to build it up to what it is.

I am extremely attached to my town! I remember I got the game and was so anxious to start I picked a map I wasn't happy with and just rushed a bit, so I stopped and did a proper map reset, going so far as to make sure I had the right fruit, a perfect spot for my house, a smooth river etc etc. What I finally got was my town of Fables, and I still adore it now!

The update actually completely reinvigorated my old town for me. I've ended up adding heaps of new furniture items to my house, changing a few areas of landscaping, moving in the adorable Vivian, finding a new path that I love and finally figuring out what to do with a big space I didn't have enough PWP's to fill and zero ideas for!

I could never reset my town now after all the work I've put into it and how much I love it! Once my dirt paths are done and a bit more landscaping has been achieved I'll finally put out a DA (never have before because I'm never finished lol!) And I imagine I'll be happy to just continue visiting and tweaking my town for a long time to come!

I can relate to this! I've been on the verge of resetting multiple times, but in the end I never go through with it. I'm just to attached to these pixels! Now I've decided to redecorate my town bit by bit to make it more interesting, as I was so bored. I also just bought some amiibo cards, including the Sanrio ones, so that should keep me going for a while!

I think thats really well put, it is kind of like a home.
Thats what it feels like to me, my own cozy place with loving friends <3

I could never reset. If I ever get around to making my gingerbread town, it'll be on a new cartridge. I have two towns going rn, and I've put so much into them both. Starail...I have friends in Starail. I'd lose them if I reset. And all that hard work too... that's why, even though I'm frustrated with the space I have to work with, I'll never scratch it.

I couldn't do it either! I ended up buying the digital copy so I could play a new town without resetting my town. I'll keep it forever!

Haha I wish I was. I easily loose attachment to my towns no matter who much effort I've put into them and end up resetting. It feels like a waste not having anything to show for all the time I've put into the game. I'm trying my best to stick to my current towns.
