When the game gets stale

So i like ACNL for the most part but as of now the game is getting pretty stale. At this point it's just go on, make sure none of my critterzens leave, get off because my town is near-perfect (and yet it still feels incomplete and i can't figure out why or how to solve it)

So is there any real way to enjoy the game when you've done everything there is to do?

I may be in the minority because I know a lot of people have their set dream villagers, but I like to rotate villagers out every now and then. Inviting new villagers helps keep the game feeling fresh to me.

You said you've done everything, but does that include completing the museum, collecting all the badges, and decorating the museum exhibit rooms? Those are things I continue to work on after I've done everything else in my town.

Other than that, I just have fun doing the things I enjoy in the game. I find going to the island at night to fish and catch bugs peaceful. Sometimes I like to play the mini-games on the island just for fun. I also just enjoy going around my town and interacting with my villagers and looking at all my hard work. It's what makes the game feel worth it to me.

I hope something will spark your interest again, but if not sometimes it doesn't hurt to take a break and come back later or even wipe the slate clean and start a fresh, new town.

When the game gets stale, I take a break. Often, I'd go to the island and play a few mini games. But mostly, I'd just stop playing and find other games or even other hobbies to do until I had an urge to play again. I basically do things that spark my interest in the moment, so if NL isn't doing that in the moment then I'm not going to play it until it does again.

Stop one of your villagers from moving, then save and take a break ^^ nobody will leave and you can relax

I still have a lot of items in storage and not on display, so I'm going to make another player so I can decorate more rooms.
Expanding their house will take up my time
I've also been trying to get all the coffee items and get the best happy home score. There is also a board here called 'things you didn't know about new leaf' that compelled me to keep playing. The game is so well made, I find new details to appreciate often.

There is a point when the game is just that if you aleady catch all fish, bug, painting, badges, etc.

I start playing other games when that happen in my old town i just lost.

Now, that i'm making a new town i play everyday as i used to in my old game.
