When is the next update?

I'm sure we'll get some info on the update next week sometime! It's going to be exciting to see what new stuff they add this time around

I'm SO excited for the new update! I hope that they add a lot but I'm not sure. One thing that I am excited about is how people found vegetables in the code of the game, and being able to accent my island with various vegetable plant seems amazing! In addition to figuring out what to do with them (new DIY recipes? ) One thing that I heard recently though, as ACNH is my first real AC game, is that it seems that it is less feature packed than previous AC games. Based on what you guys have played previously in other AC games, if you could have what you wanted without limitation, what features would you hope would be in the next update?

I think it will drop August 1st or 2nd, because the title card announcing Wave 2 in the trailer we got in June had fireworks signaling the firework shows.. The fireworks shows are on Sundays, the 1st is a Saturday and 2nd a Sunday. I would hope they would want us to experience the shows as many times as possible since its only in August so releasing it the first weekend in the month makes sense to me.

Then we may even see the update on the 30th or 31st in July just so Nintendo isn't pushing updates on the weekend.

I'm actually not too keen on Kapp'n, I'd love it if it was Brewster instead. Kappn always kind of rubbed me the wrong way lol. Either way it'll hopefully bring something new and exciting! I hope it'll be announced tomorrow too.

If anything I'm hoping for the dream suite... Not because Katrina is a good NPC, and not because I want dream islands - I just get nervous about the lack of options to back up my island.

Of course, something exciting to do couldn't hurt either!

Since they said begging of August, I would say probably between the 1st and 10th of August (I'm inclined to believe towards the latter since we have not had an announcement with a specific sate yet).

Where I live, the last update video dropped on the 25th June at 2:00pm. It's 40 minutes to 2:00pm now. Gonna go for a walk and hope something is on YouTube by the time I get back

I’m hoping today too but with Bug Off being today in the NH I worry they won’t make an announcement for some reason. If not today then hopefully tomorrow because while the last Wave was announced on the 25th there were only five days left in the month. This month it’s the 25th but we are six days from the end of the month, so they might wait until tomorrow since then there will only be five days left.

I think we’ll get the announcement either tomorrow or Monday. I think tomorrow is less likely because as @SpiritofAce said, these things usually don’t happen on weekends.

So, to summarise: the update trailer's probably going to come out either on the 30th or 31st of July, and going by previous update days, that points to it being updated on the 6th or 7th of August (which isn't great imo)... don't take this as a given, but at the same time, there's a load of evidence supporting it.

(also, yeah, AC social media's usually quiet on weekends, the Bug-Off reminder from today's an exception to that)

Thanks for the updates! I know they aren’t for sure but it’s something. I guess I won’t hope for Brewster, but at least they didn’t mention any removal of the Luna codes. So there’s a tiny bit of hope. I need at least one more building right now. I edited my map a lot and now I have all this big space on the left side.

Not far from now. It seems like they're doing a last minute month pattern to announce the update's inclusions at the very last week on a random day of that week. (Correct me if i'm wrong.)
