I just realized, my favorite part about the update is crafting new DIY items to drop off at the hotel’s dropbox. That’s how I make most of my hotel tickets. But that uses a lot of resources, so that forced me into going resource-mining.

Once you have finished all eight rooms and the VIP room, you can talk to Leilani that you want to work on a standard room. Then you can choose which room you want to edit. You’ll have a choice between starting over and making simple changes.

After playing with the update, I realized that there are no new items added to the catalog after you get the gaming consoles unlocked from Grams, and there is no upgrade to how many hotel tickets you get after you've done all 8 hotel rooms and the VIP Room.

You still need to swap for the same set of furnitures and have Cyrus customize them for other variants.

Other than that, you're right. I was also able to unlock all the gaming consoles like you. There's nothing else to do besides doing collecting the hotel tickets daily.

Yeah, I figured that one out. It is a shame, really, because compared to Happy Home Paradise, at least when you progress the first time, your pay gets increased the more client homes you do, and you're able to unlock more items in the catalog. It didn't happen with the Hotel. Maybe over time, they will update it, but I doubt it.

i got on my island a few hours ago and had to update my acnh software on my switch :3

i hadn't been on my island in the past three weeks so my villagers def missed me terribly

The best thing about 3.0 is the crafting enhancement. I could do without the hotel but I did miss Kapp'n's family from NL so it's nice to have them back (although selling off my junk on the NL island to Leila FTW). The new furniture from Grams is pretty okay too but most of it I wouldn't use. I love the flower pot, round cushion, and want the stuffed cat. Also get a kick out of the idea of putting hotel merch as deco in the rooms.

I 100% agree. The crafting is so much better, and I find myself going to more Nook Mile islands and taking Kapp'n Tours to get more materials. I didn't realize I was that low on materials.

A new update (v3.0.1) with some bug fixes was just released! Here are the patch notes, per Nintendo:

The following updates have been made when playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch:

• Fixed an issue where the game would run slower than normal after exiting the island hotel to an outdoor area.
• Fixed an issue where, when asking Resetti to clean up the island, fences that were put away or in storage could change into different customizations or be duplicated, and some cleaned-up items could disappear.
• Fixed an issue where Timmy and Tommy would sometimes stop following the player inside Nook’s Cranny.
• Fixed an issue where items could pop out of a rock before the shovel made contact when hitting it.
• Fixed an issue where, after playing with another player on a slumber island, home remodeling or relocation could become unavailable on the slumber island.
• Fixed an issue where the Camera app installation sequence could play when redeeming the Island Designer license at Nook Stop.
• Fixed an issue where some items were displayed in incorrect positions in the catalog used for photo studios and hotel decorating.
• Other adjustments and corrections were made to improve the game play experience.

The following updates have been made when playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2:

• Fixed an issue where clouds near the horizon could appear misaligned outdoors on the island, causing parts of the sky to show unnaturally.
• Adjusted controller vibration intensity to match the level when playing on Nintendo Switch.

It's really cool that they're still updating the game though. Hopefully we can see a 4.0 or maybe some extra goodies sometime this year.

That was my thought when I read that. They really don’t have to follow you through the store.

I'm sad since I never really played it much and now I can never experience it. Hopefully I can halt the update and test it out. And keep it as long as I can.
