my hair is pretty short (not super short though, it's about 3-4 inches long, shaved on the sides) and also dense and wavy. and I take a lot of pride in my hair, so I have a slightly complicated routine haha.

I wash with a super moisturizing shampoo (since my hair is very dry for some reason rip) and a lightweight conditioner (so to not weigh it down), and then I use jojoba oil when it's damp, and I curl it with a curling brush and spray it with hairspray. my hair holds pretty well and I usually wash it every other day. sometimes I can go three days without washing it, depending on how oily it gets and whether or not it holds.

what does your routine look like? what are your favourite products to use? bonus question, do you like your hair (in terms of texture and density)?

i have 2B hair, i'm not sure how dense it is tho. i wish i had straighter hair because i don't think my hair texture looks good on me tbh.

products:
-aussie miracle shampoo and conditioner with avocado and jojoba oil.
-argan oil, i put it in after my shower but when my hair is still soaking wet, and i always scrunch because that helps lock the moisture in.

-(forgot to mention, aussie miracle curl cream. it helps me with frizz a lot)

i let it air dry a little and then i blow dry on the lowest heat setting.

i always have to wash my hair every day because my scalp gets very oily, i like doing my hair every day so washing it doesn't really bother me. i have to put a ton of moisturizers in my hair because my ends get super dry, i dont know why my scalp gets oily if i'm only ever applying oil to my ends. it is what it is i guess.

i've tried a ton of hair products over the years but haven't quite figured out what really works for me yet but this is my current routine. it's mostly products that are new that i'm currently trying. i have oily hair so i'm mostly aiming to keep the oils at bay.

1. ouai detox shampoo - i try to use this at least once a week or every other wash followed by regular shampoo
2. &honey scalp shampoo - this is a japanese brand shampoo that i've been trying lately. i like it but i might switch it out anyways once i run out. if i don't use my detox shampoo i'll use this shampoo twice
3. &honey melty moist oil/mise-en-scene perfect serum/ouai leave in conditioner only at the ends - i rotate between these 3 depending on my mood. i'm not entirely sure what works the best tbh. probably constantly switching between them doesn't help me figure out what's working haha 😅 i'll also blow dry my hair if i'm not too lazy at this point
4. dove dry shampoo (between washes if my hair gets too oily) - i actually heard a lot of aerosol dry shampoos are supposedly toxic....... so i'm trying to use this one up LOL. but if u've used dry shampoo u would know non aerosol ones are so messy so i haven't found a non aerosol one that i like ugh 😭

I don't do a ton to mine LOL it's very short and does fine on its own for the most part lol
I use a "pure" shampoo that's supposed to remove buildup and stuff from your hair, then I have bleached hair so I use purple conditioner while in the shower, and then a leave in conditioner afterwards

I like keeping it 'messy' because I like the look. I basically wear a hat 24/7, and as a result, I don't spend much time on my hair aside from the hair dye. My hair is naturally wavy so it appears more floofy-like at the length I keep it at. I like how it looks with a hat on, but without a hat, I may use a bit of hair gel to style it somewhat.

I don't let it get too long. I'd hate to wind up with a perm, lmao.

Mine is pretty simple. My hair is just past my shoulders but I don't put any products in it. I just shampoo and conditioner and then let it air dry, which is definitely not the best method cause my hair usually looks frizzy even though it's straight. Those Dyson hair wrap things look like so much fun. I wish I could try one and see if my hair looks smooth and shiny.

1. shampoo
2. leave in conditioner
3. blow dry

i like to be hands off

1) wet hair
2) shampoo in hair
3) rinse
4) dry partially with a towel, then air dry.

i’d been getting my hair highlighted the past couple years and went full blonde last month, so it’s gotten super damaged. i used to be able to get away with just shampoo, conditioner, and air dry but now it gets frizzy and visibly dead if i don’t do anything else. i also wash my hair every 2-3 days so it doesn’t dry out, 4 if i’m really lazy but my scalp does start to get oily and itchy.

i’ve been using the redken all soft shampoo and conditioner and it really does make my hair pretty soft. i try to use the purple shampoo and conditioner from loreal once a week or if my hair starts to look brassy. i leave conditioners in for 5-10 minutes and try to rinse with cold-ish water.

then i let it airdry a bit, comb it out, and put on the acidic bonding leave-in conditioner from redken. i noticed recently that my hair looks frizzier if i let it airdry completely, especially after i had it bleached, so i’ve been drying it with a blow dry brush from revlon and then applying hair oil afterwards

- Detangle as much of my hair as I can (just with wet hair under the running water, no detangling spray yet)
- Shampoo
- Rinse
- Conditioner
- Leave in for about 3 minutes
- Rinse
- Detangle the rest (with the spray this time)
- Curl cream
- SCRUNCH
- Either air dry or diffuse depending on when I'm showering

I use shampoo + conditioner specifically made for curly hair to keep it healthy and for better definition.

It's very rare that I diffuse, because I get overstimulated by how loud the diffuser is. I really only do it when I have somewhere to be within the next 1-3 hours, because my hair takes about 4-5 hours to dry.

Having long curly hair is so fun guys 😄 (thanks for THOSE genes, dad...)

I loveeeee love love my hair care products. But they are expensive. But holy goodness, my hair as never been so soft and lovely in my life. I will gladly shell out to keep this hair. I wash it every other day, and use Guerlain shampoo and conditioner. Then I just wrap it in a special hair towel for 20mins while I get ready and then just dry the rest. If it’s frizzy after, I have a special end for my Dyson hair dryer that reverses frizz? Idk but it works. I also have these silk drops that help too but you just use a tiny bit.

My hair is fine and thin-ish? Not nearly as thin as is used to be but definitely wouldn’t call it thick. I guess medium. And board straight. But I love it :)

I try not to wash my hair daily. I aim for every other day because I hear daily isn't "good".. my hair is straight and oily and has always been like that.
I use shampoo. Conditioner I use very little, usually just on the ends and only use it in the winter.
I let air dry. I don't put anything in it. I use that weirdly shaped detangle brush with the different sized bristles to brush with. Works great.

I am very minimalist about my hair. It’s very short (about an inch all around, 1.5 inches on top—just a regular clipper cut) so washing it is quick and easy. I shampoo my hair and let it air dry before bed, and then in the morning I comb it and use water to pat down my weird cowlick that sticks up in the back. I do shower every night because I have horrible allergies and it really helps to shower the pollen out before lying in bed.

I wash it about 2-3 times a week. I touch up with dry shampoo as needed. When I do wash, I double cleanse with shampoo. and then do conditioner once. I use a cheaper shampoo and conditioner because my partner bought me more by accident, just using it up. Then once I'm done I do a leave in just on my ends. I let it air dry because I dislike the texture I've when I blow dry. Every day I don't wash I put an oil on my ends. I try to not use heat often, when I do it's just my fringe.

I see you are not the only one. Is this true? I have always washed at  least once a day. What exactly is bad for washing hair daily?

It probably doesn't matter in my case, with a buzz cut. But I am still curious! I keep my hair crazy short because I don't have the patience for long hair. I don't know how you all do it!

i shower at least every other day w a specific shampoo and then any conditioner. if i’m going out i straighten it with a straightener and metal brush. my hair is short but it flips out on its own if i let it. i try to blow dry it into place sometimes, but 95% of the time i do the previous. then i spray it with hairspray. if i’m in a pinch i’ll use dry shampoo.

I use basically any shampoo that isn't a few particular brands since they don't agree with my hair. My hair is thick and grows super fast, but surprisingly is easy to take care of. :]

well, from pretty much everyone in person I have met outside my family, they don't wash their hair daily. I have met many people who only wash their hair every three days or even just once a week and their hair looks fine. However if I go one day without washing my hair, I notice the oil... and if even longer it is absolutely disgusting and very visible from across the room like wet hair. I am an oily person for some reason and so is half of my family while the other half isn't oily. (paternal vs maternal) I assume it is genetics. My mom goes 3-4 days without washing her hair and she puts oil on her hair on top of that and her hair looks perfectly fine.
From what I heard is that if you wash your hair daily it will damage the hair because you are stripping the oil off of it, cause the hair to break more often, and potentially causing your scalp to produce even more oil. Maybe it is true for non oily people, and I can kinda see how washing more often could encourage more oil production but I don't think this is a particular problem in my circumstance. None the less, if my hair looks decent the next day as tied, i'll leave it alone and tie it. My skin(body) is washed daily no matter what, and I don't suffer from dry skin except on my hands in the winter because I wash my hands often. Perhaps being an oily person is why I can't stand the texture of lotion and why it feels slimy forever to me. idk.
If I was working again or doing more yard work, there is no way I could pull off washing my hair only every other day and I would have to wash my hair at minimum daily.

I wash my hair every second day. There isn't one brand I'm in love with, so I'll change brands occasionally.

Generally, I'll shampoo, rinse, condition ~5 min, rinse, air dry. I'll use heat spray and a straightening iron a couple of times a week. I also like to use hair masks or leave-in treatments sometimes, more just for fun. 😊
