I'd play one and wonder I have the second one. Lol. I'd probably use it to loop on great turnip prices and get to 100mil like I did with my 2 towns in ACNL.

i would do a lot more terraforming i think, or just playing around with that. i sort of envy people who have all their cool valleys and water features but i want to keep my current island simple. and obviously i'd want to have more dreamies since i couldn't fit them all on my current island. even picking out my 10th villager now was really hard because there were so many i really loved but couldn't pick between.

I have two.
I plan on doing the same thing I did with NL.

First town/main town will be the focus till I achieve what I mainly want out of it's theme. Second town will be spare inventory/timetraveling/giveaway/etc town till I decide to ultimately develop and start it's theme (which I already have in mind). I have amiibos so putting the villagers I want in either town isn't really a big deal ultimately. Until I'm really ready to do things officially for the second, I won't really be keeping permanent villagers in it for now.

i was thinking about this earlier! i would use it to have an entirely different theme than my current island (already have one in mind) and would use it to have 10 more villagers that i love aha

I second this, I'd love to play around with another theme and adopt all the cuties that just didn't make it! It breaks my heart that we can only have 10 villagers...

I'd probably use one just for villager cycling... I can't keep up with maintaining two islands lol

i'd have one as my main island, no time travel (except for opening up plots), etc.

my second one would be an island that would basically be a shop. like I'd cycle villagers, get hybrids, extra diys, basically i'd time travel a lot and sell stuff, generally i'd sell villagers for less than market price or give them away, etc.

i'd time travel to my heart's desire. i probably wouldn't play on it as much but it would mostly be for when i just want to zone out and watch tv

My friend's island has a bit of a space theme to it and it makes me so jealous with how gorgeous it is omg, one of my NL towns--the one that's had the most work done on it--is space-themed and I would LOVE to do a space-themed island with all the cool terraforming and stuff you can do in NH! But sadly that's just not what I have planned for my island, and when my family does get a second switch it's reserved for my brother to have his own island.
