What is your dream pet?

Real animals only, if you could own any animal in the world (extinct or otherwise) and money and husbandry wasn't an issue, which one would you pick and why?

I would have to go for my all time favorite animal, a snow leopard!

I just love how thick and plush their paws and tails look, and the contrast of their fur colors is so beautiful. Plus I think it would be fun to play wrestle with one.

i’m not sure if this counts, but i’d want a bunch of fish… like an aquarium level of fish… a whole wall of watery dudes if you will !! i adore watching them swim by and i love how many different kinds there are :]

I would choose a panda! I love watching them on webcams and generally find them fascinating.

I would love a platypus, I’d have to go for a female to avoid the venom and in a dream scenario they’d be able to live anywhere cause currently we’re very far away from each other! They’re just super adorable though, wish I could see one irl but will have to make do with my cuddly platypus toy from adopting one

Idk,.. a bear? I'll just ride in on my bear and we'll be best pals.
We'll go fishing and pick berries.
He can pull the cart home. We'll live in a cave house or a stone house I guess.

The most unrealistic animal I’d love to have is a penguin. That would be a really fun experience.

One time when I was at one of the local malls they had this guy showing off lemurs for sale. It always struck me as weird. He had this whole Steve Irwin shtick going on. I forgot about it until now. I looked it up and turns out its illegal sell and own them. So I don't know how they got away with that, let alone in a public mall.

This thread resurfaced those memories. Adults were buying them and shoving them in crates for their kids. It just seemed really weird and wrong when kid me saw this surreal moment.

They would be cute to have as pets in the perfect world where they would be fine with indoor living, but they're wild and need large areas to roam.

I think there was a news story last year about a cloud leopard that escaped from a zoo enclosure, and now I'm obsessed with their adorable paws!!

i’d love an Ocelot, Sand Kitten or Black footed Leopard. Realistically, I wouldn’t though since it’s cruel to take them out of their natural habitat, their endangered status (not sure about sand kittens and black footed leopard), the money and food to take care of them. But if all that wasn’t a problem, we could ensure they were happy , healthy, comfortable out of the habitat, I’d pick these as well as really any of the smaller “big” cats. I love cats so much .

OTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love otters so so much, like, they're so perfect... their little squeaks, their little hands... they're just so perfect I want one!!!
I'd also really like having a Chinchilla, and luckily they're legal to have to that's amazing!
