What have you done with your secret beach?

I'm planning to turn mine into a private beach of my own connected to my house area, however a bit worried now as read mentions of people thinking maybe it'll be used for a future update, which if correct could mess up my idea. What have others done with theirs? Interested to see some pics too Please and thanks!

I haven't done anything with it and I probably won't. It is too small to be useful. And it is probably just for aesthetic and just doesn't have a purpose. They probably put it in because of the popularity of inaccessible without swimming "private beaches" for hybrid flower breeding in NL for a fun little callback.

I drew inspiration from someone that made a secret waterfall cove that led to the secret beach. I‘ve surrounded mine with cliffs, a cliff side campsite, waterfalls, and a mini grotto.

Does it look a little unrealistic? YUP LOL.

But it turned out real well

TBH I don't even really understand what the secret beach is. But let's assume I haven't done anything to it. If someone could tell me what it is that would be a massive help

I have a longish passageway snaking through the cliff to get to it. I ended up putting the cherry blossom picnic set there; it seemed as good a place as any!

I hadn't heard rumours of it maybe being involved in a future update?? That's so exciting if that's true!

My current plan is having a path between cliffs lead to the beach. I'll have the entrance of the path covered by trees you can walk through. I'm not sure what I'll have on the beach yet.

It is the small beach at the back of the island that you can only get to with a ladder unless you terraform. I think I'm just sore about getting to it and having the sunset in the upper left-hand side of the screen where you can't see it.

Oh so you CAN tear down the rocks/land around it so you don't have to keep using the ladder? Interesting... Gives me a few ideas

Yep! They are just cliffs and the beach is at ground level. So...transform away!

I was thinking about putting in some natural horizontal inclines to get to mine, but if I don't really do anything with it there isn't much of a point to spend the cash to do so. Who knows though? Maybe I'll find a cool anchor or something to decorate with back there.

Currently I’ve only cleared out land so you can get to the beach, but I’m thinking of putting a few picnic like items back there to make it look like a secret little getaway area

I didn't do anything with mine, I put cliffs up around it and placed my house on top, so you can't even see it. I could only fit a chair and a small table anyway

I also terraformed a single layer off the back of my cliffs so I can walk in behind them to get to the beach without having to use a ladder. While also making it still seem to be “secret”. It also doubles as a shortcut between my two big beaches so bonus.

Mine is near the left hand side, so I just cleared a path at the back of the island from the west shore to it. I plan on putting a few items there, but no other plans at this time.

Good idea about the shortcut! I cleared a path just to my beach. I didn't think about going all the way across.
