What do you do with the museum rooms on the second floor?

Hi! I was looking through my museum rooms, and started to wonder what everyone else uses theirs for.
I use one for a record of my town. Anything notable or I feel is important to my town. Like my old plain/silver tools, the lantern you get in the early game, the outfit I started with, etc.
I use another for a makeshift walk in closet! That way I can actually see things, instead of just reading their name. I try to keep mostly winter clothes in there too, to help separate them.
I only use one other, and I just store the full egg day furniture set.

The second floor museum rooms in my towns are all just full of miscellaneous inventory overflow that I couldn't fit in the player characters' household storage. Rarer seasonal and holiday items, DLC items, Welcome amiibo items, Gracie clothes, fortune cookie items, various wetsuit colors that were exclusive to the online version of Club Tortimer. Stuff that I'm not currently using at a point in time that I don't want to get rid of and that I can swap around when I feel like using whatever's in there.

The town record idea is so cute! I would use mine for stuff like full seasonal furniture sets, nintendo/fortune cookie items, and I used one for villager pics at one point. I think it would be fun to use one as a walk-in closet though!

Mine is just full of storage and gyroids!

I arranged some interesting looking displays using rarer items. One room is just gyroids. My favorite room is a space themed exhibit where I collected the full set of those items. I wish this feature was in acnh.

I don't remember what all I've got up there but I know one of them is full of the Zelda furniture because my town is named Hyrule and I wanted like, a Hyrule Historia-esque exhibit. Another I think is Gulliver's landmark type stuff like the tower of Pisa and the pyramid item.

I love museums so I made immersive museum rooms based off ones you might find at a real museum!
-Space exploration themed with the rocket, etc.
-Futuristic room using the Astro and Robo furniture, imagining what life might look like in the future
-Rococo period room
-Museum theater

The Museum's gift shop and show-rooms were such a cute use of the second floor. While I would have loved to see the observatory expanded upon (something I'm shocked wasn't in ACNL), the ability to make your own exhibits adds a creative element!

I ended up having two rooms for villager and special-character photos, a gyroid room, and a balloon furniture room! Visiting others towns and seeing how they decorated these rooms was really cool too.

i use mine for storage, it's currently filled with perfect apples and a bunch of unidentified fossils. I'd like to do something more with it in the future, though. & i wish that you could've visited other people's museums while in their dream towns, i think that would've encouraged me to use the feature more

i can’t remember since i haven’t played in awhile but when i was younger i used to set up a display room like a living room so i could pretend like it was my little apartment hehe

I, like most other people, use them for storage. I have a hoarding problem in Animal Crossing that I can't curb, so everything just piles up. I have almost no room left in the wardrobe or extra storage space in the house, so I dump stuff in the museum rooms.

I do have one room that I play around with, changing it to try out different styles I might put in my house. But my use of that room has stagnated a bit, so it's just sitting there at the moment

I use them for mostly storage. I think I've the Splatoon, 7/11, balloon, and something else up there.
