Oh, that reminds me. HHD emotions.
I've already posted, but I just thought that it would be cool if we could actually do something with trash. Currently, you have to pay to get rid of it, have a trashcan as a PWP (which has a bad effect on your Perfect Town rating), or have one in your house. One idea that would be neat would be to have a recycling bin in the Town Hall, like in WW, except it works like trashcans currently do, and you get prizes for throwing away certain amounts of trash.
I would like to see greater character customisation at the start of the game, so that you could choose your skin colour, eye colour and hair colour, although I'm not quite sure how this would work as AC has a tradition of asking you questions which translate to what your face will look like. I would also like the option of being able to choose where villager houses will be placed or leave it up to random chance, which would make sense if in the next game you were the Mayor, but wouldn't if you were just another villager living in the town.

ok so you know how to place a path right? you have to go to the design menu, tap on a pattern, and click display on ground, and repeat ( if you dont have a set line-up with flowers already to block the patterns from appearing elsewhere )
with a pattern paster you could go into your design menu, click on a pattern, then click "paste" and the patterns would appear wherever you go!

Hope it's alright to add as well ( and hopefully hasn't been mentioned before LOL didn't feel like skimming the pages;; ) but was discussing with a friend, and something we thought would be really neat is the possibility of being able to cook! And like, villagers having specific dishes they like, dislike, neutral etc. Could keep it to simple things, but I feel like that would be a very enjoyable feature! That, and maybe a restaurant where you can work at (like the cafe) and get exclusive food items too, but also where you yourself can eat, and maybe invite villagers to? Something cutesy like that would be divine!!

I would just love the little balls to play with in GameCube. It was adorable how the animals would kick the soccer balls around and kick the basketballs. I loved kicking the balls around too. That feature needs to return. It’s a small feature, but very fun.
- The return of a bunch of old villagers, especially Kit! He's the only squirrel not in New Leaf (and there are so few male squirrels compared to female squirrels). Aisle, Tarou, Meow, Anteater Lulu, Faith, and Cupcake would be nice to see back as well.
- The ability to design our own villagers that we can put into the game! I think this would be a really cool feature and I have so many villager ideas I'd love to put in my town.
- The return of Bright Nights, constellations, and Serena.
- Ceiling furniture, half-tiles, and customizing windows, curtains, and doors from HHD.
- The new items from PC, like the furniture and flowers. I would love to have yellow-blue pansies in my town.
- Better dialogue/personality for villagers!
- I'd like the blue retro shirt from WW and CF to return as a normal T-shirt; in NL they changed it so it was only available as a dress but I don't see why since I think it makes a nice shirt pattern as well.
- More hair and eye colours; my real eyes are hazel which isn't an option in the game so adding that in would be nice. Teal hair might be a nice option as well.

Return of the Diary/Journal. More culturally diverse clothing. Textured & curly/wavy hair. (Even if it's wigs.) More skin tones, maybe a slider.
Different things to order at Brewster's. Windy weather, fog.
Any chance we could get this thread into the hands of Emily Rogers/the developers? It Sakurai can listen to the fan base, and we have waited 5 years, why can't they listen to us?
Oh, and scarves please. Actual scarves.

I agree that it would be good to be able to play as a person of color without doing tanning. I would love for the next animal crossing game to have similar character customization to happy home designer, where I believe you can pick your skin tone, and have textured hair as well.
I also would REALLY like to have more pattern slots per character. If the new animal crossing game is on the switch, it stands to reason that there will be less technical limitations, and so it would be feasible to have more slots per character. I would also REALLY love the ability to designate pixels on patterns as transparent: it would open up so many possibilities for paths, and if they want to avoid clothes with random transparent parts in them, they can just make it so that patterns with transparent part can't be used as clothes

What about a walk-in closet or something? Maybe if you make good friends with Gracie, you could store a ton of different costume combos? Maybe there'd be a nominal fee when you switch to a stored outfit? I don't necessarily love the mannequins as much as I love storing various outfits I've put together. XD

- I would love if villagers could request clothes/accessories like they do with furniture. Maybe they even like/dislike it based on their style.
- A faster way to get cedar trees... buying them one at a time is a pain.
- Different kinds of flowers!
- A bulletin board that doesn't cap at 15 messages. I'd love the weird stuff from Wild World to come back on there as well.
- Ability to control where villagers homes go easily, like being able to place the signs they'd move on top of in the previous games.
- More jobs for our character to do like the cafe. Maybe we could be stylists for Gracie and make over villagers in certain styles or a mini game where you weed 'another town' for Leif for some bells.

Also, the treasure hunts posted on the Bulletin Board from AC:GC would be lovely if they made a return. Some way to incorporate it without acres is definitely possible with some thought.
Animal Crossing New Leaf would be a lot better if we could put patterns (paths) down in front of doorways. Animal Crossing would be better if we could move EVERYTHING to where we want it, like villagers homes, ponds, rocks, etc. Animal Crossing would be better if we could get rid of the stone that is already placed, by the town hall, around the plaza, and by the trainstation. Animal Crossing would be better if we could edit everything we want instead of what the game offers. Animal Crossing would be better if we could pick out villagers. Animal crossing would be better if we could order bushes at the store instead of having to TT to get the one you want in the store. Animal crossing would be better if when we do PWP's, it didn't always have to be in a certain spot, it could be wherever. Animal Crossing would be better if villagers houses didnt land in a spot we dont want it. Animal crossing would be better if we could plant trees side by side. Animal crossing would be better if we could plant bushes in a circle without having to have an opening. I'd like the weather during the various seasons to be a tad different.Less rain in the summer,more green in the spring,more orange and less brown in the autumn and maybe a little more jon snow on the ground in the winter.
