What do you use to keep track of your catalog?

I've looked at nookazon and nook exchange, but those seem to be geared towards wish lists and selling/trading, rather than a personal catalog. I used the phone app for New Leaf. I'd really like to find something like that.

I do use Nook Exchange because I like the interface! It does have a catalog section where I keep items I catalogue traded but haven't yet ordered. Everything else I do keep in for trade since I do catalog trade occasionally.

I just use the Nook Phone to search the catalog.

I want something that will also show me what the color options are. Nook phone is great for checking real quick if I have it, but I'd also like a master list that shows everything.

Understandable. Does the Nookazon also have something like this for fish, bugs, and sea creatures? It could be useful for me to determine which stuff I put in the museum. I'm trying to have an equal balance of donations in at the museum versus my brother's donations.

ACNH.Guide app. It has fish/bugs/fossils/art checklists as well as all the items & DIYs

I see where they have "create new custom list", but I can't figure out how to actually name it. I feel like I'm missing something. I do have a wishlist, but I don't remember how I did that. LOL

If you're looking for a phone app, then I suggest ACNH.Guide.
If you want to see colour options, I recommend Nookplaza as there are many filters you can use to make it personalized for you.

I used nook.exchange. I don't really use it to list all the things I have. I use it to list all the things I don't have so I can look it up. When the list empties, it means my catalogue for that category is complete :)

They now have the catalog section as part of their tabs!!! (They didn't have this option before)

Whenever you go to the menu and click on your custom lists, you should be able to see any list you created, from there you can change the name of your lists (I don't know if you're interest, but I figured I would post in case someone is interested in it)

When I was finishing my catalog, I needed to keep track of what I needed, rather than what I didn't have. That ruled out using the Nookphone, villagerDB, Nookazon, and other sites where you build up a list of items that you need -- I would have had to have added every furniture item in the game manually and deleted all the ones I had already, which would have taken an eternity.

Instead, I found a spreadsheet of all the items in the game. From there, I manually deleted every item that I found in my catalog. Whenever I cataloged a new item, I would delete it from the spreadsheet. It wasn't the most efficient way of doing things (someone told me that there were so many pictures of items on the spreadsheet that it caused their phone to lag out), but I just needed a starting point where I could delete items from a list of everything rather than adding to a list of things I didn't have, which most likely would have been even slower.

I've done this for furniture, but I'm nowhere near complete with my poster collection nor my clothing collection. I'll probably use this same approach to complete my clothing catalog, but I'm probably not going to start going for that goal anytime soon, lol.

I use nook exchange. I find it a lot easier to mass catalog items with it. I love the filters and the search they have which nookazon is seriously lacking. When you have an account, you can see what other people have to trade that are also in your wishlist and vice versa. It's really handy for my friends when they want an item and they can look it up themselves if I have it catalog or not instead of asking me to check each time.

I recently started using the ACNH.guide phone app. I started actively trying to finish my clothing catalogue and this app really helps with that. Useing the in game nookphone just took too much time and I can’t open it when shopping for clothes to figure out what clothing variations I need. So this app has really comes In handy with that.

I really don't. If I need anything I don't have in storage, I'll check the phone app, but I definitely don't feel like keeping up a list because that would require me to keep track of every new item I get and since that happens multiple times per day I can't see myself ever getting started with that.

I already have too many things cataloged at this point anyway, and starting a tracker now would take me hours of clicking just to set it up...

I use villager DB. I have a list where I catalog every item and color I have. I usually update it once every week or two. It's handy for me to reference, but also good for catalog swaps because I can easily let other people know what I have.

Of course, I also have a separate list of items I want. TBH, I'm not really interested in completing the entire catalog at this time, so I haven't used it for that yet. However, I do imagine that at some point in the distant future I'll probably try to complete the catalog using the same method.

I use villagerdb to keep track of what I don't have. if another uses the same site I can just compare list and it sorts it by color.

Nook Exchange has been receiving a couple of updates and I find it really good to check the color variants. It's also got options for For Trade, Cataloged only, or Wishlist so it covers all your bases imo.
