it's an ecosystem issue. i'm not going to buy a console for a single game anymore, esp at these prices
sick of console nonsense in general- longterm they're exponentially more expensive than pc for me, they have less modability and control, and are so clunky and limiting they no longer have convinience as a boon.
wrt switch 2 specifically uh yeah being used to pc i don't really want to deal with framerate issues on ports to it and even the other consoles really struggle to be stable on some major games these days. god forbid as an example, even pc struggles with some things like mhwilds. and this really matters to me, especially at these prices.
i think the final straw that kept me away was game key cards. they're just another symptom of how inconvenient consoles have become and how consoles lock you into specific ecosystems to keep things going forward. you can't even move saves anymore on any consoles without cloud nonsense? i understand it's for vulnerability reasons but we should be going back to the wii days of being able to copy saves to sd cards. like does this bother nobody else, even if you don't want pc level control your save files are hostage, this is gross
so never, and probably never any other consoles atp. boycott microsoft by the way
