To those who don’t have a Switch 2

When do you think you’ll get a Nintendo Switch 2

If the Switch 2 is too expensive, I would be okay with a handheld device that only plays Animal Crossing and nothing else. But I doubt Nintendo would ever make single-game devices like that in today’s age.
A handheld device with a single game? Reminds me of a Game and Watch, it would be so cool for an Animal Crossing themed Game and Watch to exist!

i voted for "sometime after animal crossing 6 comes out." i will probably never get a switch 2 unless AC6 is exclusive to it, tomodachi life: living the dream coming out for the switch 1 reaffirmed my decision on that. plus, i don't play with my switch 1 enough. i barely play any nintendo games anymore, and if i do, i emulate the legal way by dumping my own roms.

Although, I might be begrudgingly convinced if a Switch 2 exclusive game I really want comes out, but I hope that doesn't happen. Games are too lackluster nowadays. I won't pay $70 - 80 - $100 for a mediocre game. I'll never forgive GF for the absolute disappointment that is Legends ZA
Legends ZA a disappointing game? Wow! It sounds like Pokémon really has made a disappointing journey during the Nintendo Switch Era. Before ZA came out, they released THREE Pokémon games that were embarrassments to the franchise (one evoked controversy for being the first to not include all of the Pokémon, second was the worst remaster of a video game, and the third was hit hard by glitches. And then they made another disappointment?! But then again, I already said that I’m not going to try a Pokémon game that removed turn-based combat and nerfed all status conditions.

One of my biggest complaints about the Nintendo Switch was how bad Pokémon has gotten. That probably is enough to abandon the Pokémon franchise. If Animal Crossing follows this direction, then I will not continue to get anymore Nintendo consoles.

I've given up on modern era Pokémon. Fortunately for me, I can pop in actual good games like FRLG, Platinum, HGSS, BW/BW2, ORAS, Sun and Moon anytime I want. I had hoped Legends ZA would be just like Legends Arceus, but nope.

The decline is already starting to show with Animal Crossing, unfortunately. It's less life, more simulator now. Years after the supposedly final update for NH and all Nintendo can come up with is giving us yet another way of decorating. Wow, much fun 🎉🎉🎉 But when a game centers around decorating, what else can one hope for?

Funny. New Leaf focused too much on money-making and spending, and New Horizons focused too much on decorating. What is the next game going to focus on more?

I would definitely get a Switch 2 probably not too long after the next AC game is announced.
Although I am a bit more tempted right now to get a Switch 2 since Fallout 4 is coming to it.

I don't have a Switch 2 but I will get one eventually. I have far other important things to save money for at the moment (first and last, car repairs in the spring). I also have quite the backlog of games to play already and I don't play them as often as I used to.

The only game I actually want right now is Kirby Air Riders so there's no rush to get one. I'll probably end up getting the OLED or updated version years down the line like Nintendo always ends up doing.

I'm on the fence if I'll buy one in the future. Would need to be a bigger game library of Switch 2 exclusives, and I'm not a fan of the pricing, especially $90 controllers and $70-$80 games.

Yeah, that sounds expensive. But if you compared prices of games from the 90’s (when they were like $40), that would be the equivalent of spending $80 on a new game today. We may be used to $60 games, but the 2010s is over.

I looked up the games I wanted but it's definitely more expensive

Picked "never" because the whole Palworld lawsuit situation and the fact that they can brick your console plus selling $80 for a barebones game along with switch ports galore soured the deal for me.

They could'nt even save the Switch 2 by making the price the same as Japan's or making a big Mario/Zelda title announcement shows how far Nintendo as a company has fallen at this point.

Pokemon is one of the highest grossing franchises that is bigger than Hello Kitty and Star Wars yet they still wanted to sue Palworld when they could've just treated it as a means of competition to strive on making their games better with the same amount of budget instead.

Kirby Air Riders looks like the only good Switch 2 game but that alone won't save the console let alone justify getting a Switch 2.

It’s kinda amusing that Nintendo was suing Pocketpair over Palworld for “patent infringements” when they’re the ones who decided not to include all Pokémon species in future games. They also had four disappointing main series games in a row (X/Y, Sun/Moon, Sword/Shield, and Scarlet/Violet). The problems with the games (especially Dexit) are the reasons why people would abandon the franchise in favor of other games like Pokémon, and they wouldn’t let other companies make games like that. This sounds like them telling their fans “either you play a half-baked Pokémon game or you don’t get to play anything at all”.

games went on sale or released as player's choice type versions way more oftenin previous generations. 1st party titles rarely go oven 25% off after being released for several years.
