Hey there!
So yesterday i was looking into my Amiibo Cards and find out that i have this Teapot Elephant. So i was wondering...

-Why does Merengue get all the attention over Tia?
I know Merengue is a Cake, but Tia looks awesome too.

What do you think about this Elephant? I kind of like her more that i like Merengue.

I really like Tia. In one of my towns, she and the Mayor were close friends and talked every day. One morning, she was in boxes on her way to main street...No warning or reason...Seems that's always the way when you get so close.

I like merengue better. The white villagers feel washed out to me. The concept of Tia is cute though.

Then she pinged. All the time. The only villager to ping. I had a whole daily routine at 6am to see if Tia wants to move away.
We were best friends! Why would you want to move away!?!

So I let her go. and I reset the town.... Truly no regrets. I just love hearing that she is in anyone?s town.

Here?s the funny thing - I reset - and who is my normal now? Merengue!

And I have her Amiibo card - and I have thought about finding a perfect place for Tia again...

Reading this, i think you really should bring Tia back to your Town (even he could fit Merengue). I think you still can enjoy her presence in your Town.

Never had Tia, but I prefer her concept over Merengue's.

Don't take me wrong: Merengue's adorable, but I found her to be too.. Pink-ish?
Also, I love tea, and a villager based on a teapot looks even more adorable.



I feel like I'm unconsciously planning on eat my villagers by now... xD

I just had Merengue in my campsite and I didn't invite her simply because I already have Tia and I only want one food/dessert themed villager.

But now I feel a bit of regret because I am close to having Tia's picture and I wanted to see what Merengue is like in comparison. In general though, I do like Tia's design better and I have loyalty to her like the rest of my villagers.

Although, with the updates they released Chai and she undermines how special and unique Tia is. Tia is still the OG tho~

Personally, I am a fan more for Rhinos than Elephants. In any case, I think the reason why Merengue gets more attention than Tia is because of her strawberry horn and white whipped cream hair! There is a lot of charm in a Pink Pastry Rhino! However, unlike Merengue, Tia resembles a porcelain teapot, which appeals to much more mature taste in my personal opinion because of its sophistication. Her intricate design is only likable towards a certain more mature audience who find simplicity more appealing than loud bright pink colors. Not to say Merengue is an immature choice, but that she is far more appealing because of her exciting coloration and pastry design. ��

I love them both, though I had Merengue longer and is still in one of my towns, Tia was nice too.
Though I think Merengue being a sweet, food looking rhino could be why along with her personality type people like her more. Though Tia is like a tea set which seems slightly similar. Basically be awesome to have a tea party with them both XD I hope to get Tia back tho~

I actually prefer Tia! In fact, she's one of my favorite normal villagers and is currently enjoying a permanent spot in my town. I have no intention of letting her leave.She's adorable!

I have Tia in Applewin and Merengue in ACNLpics.

They both possess this sweet innocence from their Normal villagers category.

Tia pulls it off in a way that feels more precious. (Among Lazy villagers, I look at Stitches as her male counterpart. I want to hug them both. And I have them both in Applewin.) It may be, with Tia, her very light colors of white background with some yellow to her.

Applewin has a fairy-tale theme for the Town Hall, the Train Station, and the paths. I encourage Dream Address-visiting. (Code is in the signature below.)

I am one who would not want to play a game of pitting these two against each other. Since it was more about Tia than Merengue, I had more to say about Tia. But, Merengue is great for the inspired chef. I decorated her house in Happy Home Designer early on; just after buying the game in September 2015. I should check it out again. Merengue should have a house full of sweets. Lots and lots of sweets.

I've never liked Merengue. Tia I always liked a lot but I LOVE Margie and there can only be one normal white elephant in town, haha!
I'd love to see a teaparty themed town with Tia and Chai, best elephant friends, as the main villagers

Ugh I hate that. The villagers I was closest with would always ping me to move and never any of the others. It makes sense with the random generated coding/pings, but logically it's just so stupid and annoying. They need to fix that in the next game. I also think that if there is a secretary or some npc in charge you should be able to have an option when talking to them to see who is planning to move. It only makes sense they'd need to take up their move with those in charge.

I never heard of Tia though, they look cool. They'd really work well for a fairy-tale/fantasy theme. Or even a whimsical food town.

Yeah! I thought Tia was just as popular as Merengue! I see them compared a lot.

Tia is my absolute favorite villager. I love elephants and she has a teacup for a head. What could be better?! I had never seen her before New Leaf. One day she moved in and it was love at first sight haha. She's so cute aesthetically, and she's super sweet. She always writes me the cutest letters. I like Merengue too, but Tia is my number one.
