I’ve noticed a lot of individual threads of users asking others on their opinions as to whether or not they should reset their town and I thought that it might be useful to have one place where this question can be asked and advice can be given, just to make it easier for everyone c:
Edit: whoops just seen that we have one of these stickied but that is barely used - feel free to use that one instead of this if you would prefer to utilise an existing thread!
Been tempted to reset for absolute ages, years even, because of the layout of my town (and I lost some villagers I severely want back, but getting them back is close to impossible as I only have 1 villager in town I want to get rid of and the whole 15 villagers thingy)
Some rocks are placed where they annoy me layout-wise, and I severely want Kabuki back in my town ;A;
Only thing holding me back really is the 700 hours put into it along with my badges (everything has been upgraded too, amenities everywhere and all the rare flowers) ;n;
I was also thinking of simply buying another game, but I haven't had that kind of funds for years despite that wish, the life of a student is tragic;;
I reseted my town of 3,000hrs+ because I didn't like the layout. I had almost all the gold badges, the muesuem was complete, all PWPs unlocked, all shops unlocked and built, I even remodeled my town hall. Basically I had what was probably the most devoloped town.
Once I got another system -sold to me by someone I know- and another copy, that's when I decided to reset my town. I got my other town to hold alot of stuff so I could keep it for the next town.
I would say reset. You're going to have one heck of a time getting back villagers that were already in your town, which is going to be extremely hard. A new town would make it easier to get them back.
