Icl I understand the words you're saying but I'm not understanding the words you're saying 😭 not saying what you said is wrong, it's just not registering in my nugget sized brain
Briar found the most eggs first, because they had all eggs up to egg 20 and then found egg #21 before anyone else.
They were the first to have all 21 eggs.

I don't mind there being multiple winners of the golden egg this year, but I'm confused why Briar didn't win when the criteria was "First person to find the most eggs" not "the most eggs found first". If you're going to change what determines the winner then that should have been implemented before the egg hunt started, and stated in the opening post.

it just depends on how you interpret it

I assumed it would function like the last few years' hunts, which meant the first person to find the most individual eggs, but I can understand how it can be easily interpreted as the first person to find the most collective eggs

Thanks staff for putting this event together, and congrats to the winners, you guys are so quick!

Also for egg 16 I want to note it's actually the third "Palette" of the year since the FR/LG switch ports were released this February.
Historically speaking for the past few years, the winners have been who has the most 'found first' eggs. I can understand why you might have thought differently, because without the puzzle eggs, it is possible for a member to reach the egg maximum before anyone else.

It wouldn't be fair for us to go by 'whoever reaches egg maximum first', because it would always boil down to only the final unsolved egg being relevant (given that everyone helps each other out privately), and whoever had a favorable timezone for the last batch of eggs (or forced themselves to stay awake).

"First person to find the most eggs" is leftover wording from when we used to have the Golden Egg purchaseable in the shop. We agree that our word choice has not been very clear and open to multiple interpretations - which is why we struggled between the three winners this year, and are committed to ironing it out before next year's hunt.

I was absolutely hell-bent on one of the eggs being in one of the Halloween event threads (I went to the manor on 3 separate occasions: egg 11 thinking "mirror", egg 17 thinking "horror d'orderves", egg 19 for the manor "key", and egg 20 with the mermaid egg prize for the other Halloween event) I combed those threads several times I swear I'm going to be seeing them in my dreams for a while

Thanks for the clarification! I appreciate that this will be addressed before next year.

Xara, homie!!!! congrats on getting another golden eggie yaaaaaaa!! so very happy for you waaaa!!! and congrats to millysaurusrexjr and xlisapia, you're all good eggs! :D

again, such a fun and silly little event as always! very nice to see what the clues are and where the answer lies, gives my brain a good run hehe i will add that i dont mind that there wasnt any puzzles this time especially with the way they're handled now where you have to make a thread for your answer and not knowing if it's correct or not until the end. but yeah, time to eat some leftover choco eggies!!!

also im curious about something. if an egg on someone's post, can that person do anything to it via post editing? not planning anything if an egg ends up in a future post of mine hehe

I have an idea. But you’ll see that in my survey, so it’s going to be a while before you know what my idea is.

Hi! As an egg was hidden in one of my posts this year, I just tested your question and to answer: it's impossible to delete the egg from the post!

Congrats @Xara @Millysaurusrexjr and @xlisapisa 🥳🥳🥳. That’s so awesome you all won a golden egg!

@Xara I hope you believe me now when I say you’re an awesome egg hunter 🫶. Give yourself more credit, otherwise I’m going to come over there and eat one of your golden eggs and breb 😼.

A big shoutout to everyone who helped me 🫶.

I had a lot of fun and am glad I didn’t sit this one out 🙂. Tysm staff for the hard work and for the event!

I'd probably advise you not to, just to be on the safe side!

Personally, if I saw a little cute doodle next to the egg, I'd let it slide in the spirit of fun. But if someone were to adjust the wording of the post to make it easier to find the egg, or worse, remove all the context, I'd say that's grounds for a warning for interfering with the event. 😅

I have to give it to Zipper T Bunny, he always knows how to hide the eggs just enough for us to stress without going in to total meltdown mode.

I remember that people had to buy the golden egg in the shop, but does that mean they had to fight about who would put it in their basket first? Sounds stressful.

It was a fun hunt! :) Thanks to the staff who organize it. The community eggs made the thread more lively and the race was tight, congrats to all the winners and Briar who found the last egg first.

Also, I think it's the first time I get all the eggs! Yay!
Ok, I admit -Blue- gave one hint for #4.... ;) Thx!
I'm glad that I know what a planet with a view is now
I learned about Contact Mode too, it was interesting.
