Surrounded by black people?

Thats_Racist2.gif

I saw this ad and I live in Australia.
I didn't think to much of it.
It was just Jamaican's dancing and the guy bringing them some food.

What's wrong with sharing your food with Jamaicans? I see it as kind of a nice gesture, actually.

Pawahahaha This was on the news today. Apparently they are taking it off air over seas.
But they had a poll
It was in Australia
15% thought it was racist.
85% said no.

then for over seas
52% said yes
42% no
6% undecided.

And on the news all the people over seas were like 'They're black native americans'
And then this *censored.4.0* was 'Well, first of all, they're not native Americans, they're Brazilians,'

It made me laugh. But it really isn't that racist.

Ok, for all you non-Americans who don't understand how it's racial, I'll explain.

This next part might be offensive, and it's not my opinion, just a stereotype.
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;"> There's an offensive stereotype that all black people eat is KFC, then, they show them acting savage and rowdy by this white guy, who's just sitting calmly in his seat. He gets them to calm down by giving them KFC. </div>
Again, sorry if this offends anyone, I'm just stating it.

I still can't believe they ran this ad.

It's not racist really.

It has nothing to do with showing black people to be rowdy, crazy people. It is to show that a KFC can make all awkward situations better, as they put it.

To be honest, if you were in a room full of other races, religions etc. surely you'd feel slightly awkward?

But, it's the fact that it's KFC he gives them that makes it really racist.

It's not racist though-it has nothing to do with the fact that black people are in love with KFC or it's the only thing that calms them down.

I think it's showing that everyone loves KFC so much that it calms them down or whatever.

It may look racist, but I don't think KFC meant it to come across in that way.

I agree, they probably didn't intend it.
