I don't get why they suddenly care about that though, in NL people TT'd all the time to get items when the game first came out and no one cared. Just let people play the game they way they want to.

Also it really sucks that they made us wait until Thanksgiving to get the event because some people have real life Thanksgiving events with their families which (in my case) usually lasts all day, and won't have time to hunt for ingredients or participate in AC thanksgiving at all and would just have to TT backwards the next day anyways.... Why does it matter if I wanted to TT today (the day before thanksgiving) to do the event so I can focus on family irl stuff tomorrow?

I mean...obviously they did care, they just didnt see a way to prevent it. Frequent updates weren't a common thing in 2012/2013, and certainly not on the 3ds.

I am actually kinda glad they have it to where you can buy the diys at nooks afterwards. I mean, I would imagine most people would just TT backward if they missed turkey day, but it was still nice of them to do this.
(I mean... it is nice to have another option unlike the balloon way for the seasonal diys.)
I plan on TT backwards if I can't get on tomorrow.

I’m really happy about it. I play 4 characters and I’m not sure if I’ll have time to complete the event for all of them. On Halloween I had 3 characters and only completed the event twice. So its good that I can get them this time. I never time travel, so otherwise I would have to wait until next year to get the diys

I agree. Something is off with Nintendo at the moment. Not just with this update, but them upsetting a lot of people with their latest pocket camp update and losing out on most likely hundreds of thousands of dollars because of it. They're definitely not respecting their customers right now and not even making smart business decisions, which makes me respect them less also.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the issue with PC is that they no longer support older phones, correct?

I doubt they are getting hundreds of thousands from people with older phones.

Yes. I'd think my estimation is about right. The game is a massive money maker and has made over 50 million dollars as of a report in 2018. It has most likely made a large amount more since the release of new horizons. I don't know the amount of people who were using older phones, but I'd imagine it's a decent chunk, considering all the people upset.

Oh wow, I remember back when it wouldn't let me play anymore because my old phone only had 1GB of RAM. How old does your phone have to be to miss out now?

thanks for sharing! i was a bit confused on how the event would play out in terms of receiving the items/diys, so i really appreciate the extra clarity!

i really like the turkey day set but, like others, i am a bit disappointed by the lack of food items. it might’ve just been wishful thinking, but i was really holding out hope that franklin would hook us up with some food or at the very least, even the ingredients from new leaf. don’t get me wrong, i’m still super excited for tomorrow, i just wish the event came with some food items, too :’^)

I’m glad that I didn’t offend you; I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer ><. I actually do like what we were give regardless of the lack of food items. The wait for the event to unlock though is kinda killing me lol; as hard as I was trying not to relook at the items we were given, I keep looking and then realized that of the food items that were datamined, not a lot of it were for this event. >< Thanks for clarifying . Oof yes, waiting for the events to get everything is tough.

I'm really hoping they will bring more food-related items into the game in the next updates. There is a severe lack xD
