I’m honestly pretty upset about the room downgrade. This isn’t wild world, we aren’t running on a Nintendo DS
I understand they want us to decorate outside more but at least give us an option to expand our rooms later...please. The only rooms I can decorate fully is the upstairs, living room, and downstairs

Yeah I 100% agree on that. This design choice just feels a bit goofy tbh

I feel a bit like an oddball because I like the smaller house. I resisted paying off my house fully in New Leaf completely for a long time and only did it because it never felt like it was "complete". It does feel odd that the rooms don't start off as small as they did in New Leaf and that they don't have you expand it at least once to get to where it looks like now. It also feels really odd that they don't let you choose what room to add on first.

I wish we could have it both ways and have the house grow to the size it is now to have it "complete" for the people who like tiny houses. And then have the option to expand to different layouts or bigger rooms once you got a certain Happy Homes score. I think that having that sort of change would let the house feel even more personal.

It would be if this was the first Animal Crossing game to remove content A ton of stuff that players like myself didn't care about got removed and added a whole butt load of amazing features that we do like. While I do feel sorry for the side the misses that stuff, you gotta realize Nintendo was catering more towards my crowd and I think that's why there's so much hype.

Besides that ,half the stuff you mention is most likely on its way in updates and you still choose to complain constantly about it. For example, roost I believe was confirmed for museum update and gold tools breaking sounds like a you problem instead of Nintendo's. Tool breaking is completely new to the series besides the axe so saying that golden tools were changed is a little far fetched.

I think the issue is also due to the game being $20 more expensive than its predecessor with what feels like half of the content. This is like Pokémon SWSH all over again, except we don’t have a massive controversy like Dexit.

I really don’t think it’s Nintendo catering more towards “your crowd” but rather them adopting some bad habits of the modern gaming industry: releasing a half finished game and filling in DLCs down the road (which will probably be paid more likely or not.) Hell, it was already confirmed by them that there would be DLCs for this game. And yes, I know they were facing some immense pressure to get this game on shelves. It still makes you wonder what the delay bought time for. Other than the beautiful visuals, I don’t see it here.

I’m glad that you’re having a great time with the game. Please be understanding of those who are not. There are those who bought a $200-$300 system (Lite or OG) just for this game. It’s perfectly fine for them to feel upset.

In regard to tools breaking, I totally get being upset that even gold tools break. I know a few folks who won’t touch BOTW, a masterpiece of a game by many, because weapons break. At least that game had a weapon that doesn’t break. ACNH doesn’t have any of that.

I've played a ton of $60+ games in my lifetime and this game is by far better/ as more content then a good half of them. The game absolutely feels like it should be more expensive but I'm glad they gave it to us at the steal of $60. The additional content, graphics, bug fixes, quality of life additions, freaking outside decorating (This is bigger then most people assume it to be. This is probably why they had to get rid of a lot of content), etc,etc. While you do make a valid point on the game's downloadable content, I do believe that's their way of creating hype on social media. Imagine the posts everywhere with stuff like "Playing ACNH New Summer Solstice update!" as a marketing stunt. Btw Nintendo as already confirmed that DLC/updates will be free.

I'm more upset about the fact that you have to fully upgrade your house with all 5 rooms to be able to fully customize the outside of your house. I wanted to have a few houses playing the role of other town buildings, but I don't want to have any basic front houses in my town, and I don't know if I can come up with enough idea to fill 5 rooms in each house

The rooms feel way too small in this game, hopefully they'll fix this in an update or something - it really doesn't reflect the price paid for the game that something so key would be missing. I haven't made it that far yet but I was hoping he would have offered the option to expand. I also don't like how the new rooms to your left and right entrances don't go into the centre of the wall, like, why?

there are many limitations in this game that i find odd, and unfortunately our house experiences one of those. this may have been a design choice because it seems we lack quite a bit of furniture compared to other games (right now i think there's only a few sets of furniture compared to nl numerous furniture sets). but that still doesn't make much sense. maybe the exterior of the house prevents it, but then you look at the tiny, rectangular museum and how it seems to be in its own dimension with how much space is actually in there. maybe someday they'll let us expand some rooms, but i've become complacent with the amount of space we've been given.
